Tom Cruise will perform a Scientology Wedding
Tom Cruise is set to perform a Scientology wedding for a friend, it has beenreported.
The 'War of the Worlds' star, who is at the highest level of Scientology,
will conduct James Packer's wedding on France's Cote d'Azur on Wednesday
(06.20.07), according to Women's Wear Daily magazine.
The wealthy Australian heir - who is marrying model-turned-singer Erica
Baxter - is one of the Church of Scientology's richest benefactors after he
inherited a $6.5 billion fortune when his father, Kerry Packer, died last
year.
Packer is believed to have booked out Grand Hotel du Cap-Ferrat and the
Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc for wedding guests.
Meanwhile, Cruise has reignited controversy surrounding his film about
German WWII officer Count Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg.
The 44-year-old actor was seen leaving Berlin's Scientology HQ at midnight
with his wife Katie Holmes, renewing rumours he plans to "inject"
Scientology propaganda into the film.
Cruise will play the nobleman - who tried and failed to kill Adolf Hitler -
in the movie due to be filmed in Berlin this summer.
Relatives of Schenk von Stauffenberg have already expressed their worries
about propaganda being involved in the film.

Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes attended a private dinner in NYC yesterday to raise money for the New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project, a program he co-founded in 2002. The tickets were $6,250-a-head.
Katie Holmes reportedly wants to enroll daughter Suri into "kiddie
Catholicism" classes - even though husband Tom Cruise is a devout
Scientologist.
The actress, who was raised a Catholic, gave up her religion and embraced
the bizarre sci-fi cult when she met in Tom in 2005.
But Katie has now allegedly been secretly talking to pastors about her
child's upbringing, and wants to enrol one-year-old Suri into some classes
when she is older to learn about the faith, according to Life and Style
magazine.
After meeting Tom it was reported the 28-year-old actress had broke off ties
with her old friends in Ohio, while her relationship with the actor
allegedly caused a rift with her parents.
Sources claim Katie - who is currently in Louisiana shooting new movie 'Mad
Money' - has got back in touch with her childhood pals to "quietly reclaim
parts of her past".
She reportedly phoned Meghann Birie, a close school friend who she has not
seen in almost two years.
A source said: "She wanted to speak to someone not in Camp Cruise. Katie
told Meghann she can't believe she abandoned her old life."
It has also been claimed that Katie plans to visit her hometown of Toledo
with Suri this summer and has invited her parents, Kathy and Martin, to the
'Mad Money' film set.
A family friend revealed: "She's trying to make amends with her family."

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' daughter Suri has weekly hair appointments, it has been claimed.The tot, who is not yet one, has reportedly been visiting a stylist every seven days to keep her luscious dark locks neat and trim.
However, it is claimed Tom and Katie have some peculiar demands over Suri's cut.
A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "She is always naked and no one's allowed to talk around the baby."
Meanwhile, Tom's casting in a new wartime thriller has sparked fears he may use it to promote Scientology.
The actor is to star as Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg - who attempted to assassinate Nazi leader Adolf Hitler - but Stauffenberg's grandson has voiced his family's concerns the film could be influenced by the sci-fi cult.
Count Caspar Schenk von Stauffenberg said: "I have nothing against Cruise and can even separate his work from his beliefs in Scientology. But I and other family members are worried that the picture will be financed by the sect and be used to get across its propaganda."
The as yet untitled war thriller tells the true story of Stauffenberg, a Bavarian aristocrat-turned-colonel, who planted a bomb in an attempt to kill Hitler in 1944. The Fuhrer survived the blast and Stauffenberg was later executed.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are Certainly Odd
Tom Cruise is set to star in a film based on the 1944 attempt to assassinate Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
The 'Mission: Impossible' actor was originally only going to produce the wartime thriller, but was convinced by director Bryan Singer to star in it as well.
The film, which has yet to be given a title, focuses on the true story of a plot by German soldiers to kill the dictator.
Tom's production partner said in a statement: "After reading the script, Tom and I knew immediately that this was a film we had to make. As an added bonus, because of Bryan Singer's involvement and Tom's admiration for him as a filmmaker, as well as the excellence of the script, the project attracted Tom as an actor."
Tom is currently filming 'Lions For Lambs' with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford, due out at the end of the year.
Tom's wife Katie Holmes is also about to return to work after taking time out to have their daughter, Suri. Katie will start filming crime comedy caper 'Mad Money' in April.

Victoria Beckham Got 18 Calls in One Hour from Tom Cruise
Katie Holmes isn't very happy with her husband Tom Cruise and frequently makes lengthy calls to best friend Victoria Beckham.Us Weekly reports:

Tom Cruise tells Katie to Curb Her Shopping
Tom Cruise has told wife Katie Holmes to curb her shopping sprees.The actor is said to be alarmed that Katie is spending a fortune in Los Angeles stores Barneys, Horn and Bonpoint, and has urged her to stop being so "frivolous".
A source told Britain's Grazia magazine: "Katie looks like she has been moping about having to curtail her shopping sprees. She said Tom wants her to take a break as he thinks it might be sending out the wrong message.
"He certainly doesn't have to worry about money and Katie is not on a budget - it seems he just doesn't want people thinking she is frivolous and all about shopping and money."
Katie, 28, was reported to have spent a staggering $200,000 at Beverly Hills' department store Barneys during a recent visit.
She was seen visiting the store with good friend Victoria Beckham, the wife of millionaire soccer star David, and treated the former Spice Girl to two pairs of $500 shoes.
A few days later, Katie was photographed carrying five bags of baby clothes for her and Tom's 11-month-old daughter Suri.
Earlier this month, it was revealed Tom has insisted on accompanying Katie to the set of her new movie 'Mad Money' in Louisiana.
