Meanwhile Mel B has called on Eddie Murphy to play an active role in their daughter's
life.
Eddie released a statement on Friday (08.03.07) finally acknowledging he is
the father of four-month-old Angel Iris, but Mel is upset he has not
promised to visit their daughter.
Her lawyer Gloria Allred said: "He has not indicated in his statement or to
us that he plans to visit the baby. It is my client's concern that he should
see his child, spend time with her, hold her, love her and bond with his
daughter."
In his statement, Eddie's publicist Arnold Robinson said: "He acknowledges
paternity of the child Angel and has paid child support to Ms. Brown, as
well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy.
"He always has and will continue to honor his responsibilities as a
father."
However, the 'Shrek' actor denies Mel's claims the couple planned to have a
baby together.
The statement added: "Mr. Murphy and Ms. Brown dated very briefly and never
made any plans of any sort."
In December, Eddie publicly ended his relationship with Mel when she was
five months pregnant and publicly questioned the child's paternity.
A court ordered DNA test in June confirmed he was the father.
Eddie already has five children, and last week got engaged to his new love,
film producer Tracey Edmonds.

Gwyneth Paltrow uses snake venom to preserve her youthful looks, it has been
claimed.
The Oscar-winning actress swears by an anti-wrinkle skin cream made from
serpent poison to keep her skin looking young and vibrant.
Gwyneth is said to regularly visit the Beverly Hills Sonya Dakar Skin Clinic
where she buys a wide range of Ultra Lux 9 products - including one cream
which contains the venom.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "It's not Botox. It is just a
cream that has the venom of a snake in it. The cream is part of the facial
treatments available at the spa."
The 34-year-old actress isn't the only celebrity to experiment with bizarre
beauty treatments.

Debbie Harry recently confessed she has been injecting herself with sheep
embryos since she was 35.
The Blondie singer said: "I thought, 'Wow, this is so logical - you have
fresh cells'. I was the youngest person that had ever done it.
"They made the injections from the embryos of black sheep. There were 11
injections in all."
Teri Hatcher's beauty regime reportedly involves pouring a glass of wine
into her bath.
The 'Desperate Housewives' star is an advocate of its skin-softening

Charlie Sheen is set to take ex-wife Denise Richards to court over the
custody arrangements for their children.
The 'Hot Shots!' actor wants the right to visit his daughters Sam, three,
and Lola, two, without supervision, but Richards is refusing.
A friend of Sheen's told the New York Post newspaper: "She's doing
everything she can to keep the visits supervised by her nanny, because her
nanny spies for her."
Despite the tension between the pair, the source claims: "Denise wants
another child. She even asked Charlie to be the father. She is very jealous
of his new fiancée Brooke Mueller."
Richards, 36, was recently reported to have sent flowers to Mueller before
the pair enjoyed a shopping trip together, but Sheen's friend claims it was
a publicity stunt.
The pal said: "Brooke never got the flowers. Denise did call Brooke to come
and meet her and when she arrived there were four paparazzi waiting to take
their picture. After the pictures were done, Denise told Brooke. 'It's been
taken care of.' "
However, Richards vehemently denies the accusations, saying: "This is
disgusting. He is doing this now because he's not happy with me and the
custody arrangement.
"He doesn't stick to the schedule he has with the kids - that's not my
fault.
"When I met Brooke the paparazzi were already following me, as they do every
day, and took a picture. I have the bill for the flowers I sent, and I
certainly don't want another child right now."

As reported, on July 30th, the First Criminal Court in Puerto Vallarta , Mexico dismissed all criminal charges pending against Dog, Tim and Leland Chapman on the grounds that the statute of limitations had expired. However, A&E has learned that Dog and his Posse are not in the clear quite yet. Although the cancellation of the warrant still stands, an appeal was filed by the prosecution to overturn the lower court’s decision. A&E has been told that in Mexico , rulings against the prosecution are generally appealed as a matter of principle.

Heidi Klum isn't impressed with new neighbors David and Victoria Beckham -
because the superstar couple attract so much unwanted paparazzi attention.
The German model, who is married to British singer Seal, lives in the same
Beverly Hills street as the soccer star and his Spice Girl wife and admits
she is already fed-up with the photographers' constant presence.
She told America's 'The Jay Leno Show': "There is a paparazzi festival down
the street from us now. You guys don't even know what that means.
"You couldn't even drive by because they were hanging out, waiting for them
to leave their house.
"Every time we would leave the house they would either follow us or you
couldn't pass the street. It's kind of a pain."
However, Klum admits she has sympathy for the couple, who moved to their
mansion last month following David's multi-million dollar deal with Los
Angeles Galaxy.
She added: "It's rough - but it's rougher for them than it is us."
Meanwhile, the 34-year-old beauty says her home is run by her three
children.
Heidi - who has a three-year-old daughter Leni from a previous relationship
and sons 23-month-old Henry and eight-month-old Johan with Seal - said: "Our
house is like Toys R Us - huge playground outside, trampoline, slides, the
swings. Parenthood definitely has changed our home a lot in the last three
years.
"When you have a newborn it's different - when they get older they want to
be entertained. They want to do things all the time."
