Amanda Bynes Arrested, Throws Bong Out Window

Amanda Bynes had to remove her platinum blonde wig when she posed for her mug shot last night revealing a super short hair cut. Bynes sported a scowl and a black shirt when she posed for the photo following a bong-throwing arrest in NYC last night. The 27-year-old actress arrived to court this morning to face a judge -- wearing the wig again -- but it was clear she didn't want to be photographed.



TMZ: Amanda Bynes was arrested in her NYC apartment Thursday night for marijuana possession and throwing evidence out the window.

According to law enforcement sources ... a building official called police after spotting Amanda in the lobby with a joint, acting erratically and talking to herself. We're told when cops arrived they knocked at her door and she let them in. Our sources say when police saw the bong Amanda quickly tossed it out the window ... which fortunately didn't hit anyone on the street below.



Amanda, who was wearing a platinum blonde wig, was placed under arrest and went ballistic, yelling, "Don't you know who I am?" She was booked for criminal possession of pot, as well as reckless endangerment and FELONY tampering with evidence. Our law enforcement sources say Amanda was briefly taken to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation and then taken to the station for booking.

Amy’s Baking Company Hiring!

Huffington Post: Amy's Baking Company, the now-notorious restaurant featured on "Kitchen Nightmares" earlier this month, held a job fair Sunday to hire 30 new employees, including cooks, dishwashers and waiters.

The Scottsdale, Ariz., restaurant temporarily shut its doors last week to prepare for a grand re-opening on May 21, partly as a way to put an end to wave after wave of what the owners see as unfair criticism.

"The job fair went very well," restaurant spokesman Mike Scerbo told The Huffington Post via email on Monday. "[We had] lots of applicants. We are about halfway to our goal."

In the upcoming June issue of Marie Claire magazine, the blonde beauty opens up about her transformation into a country powerhouse as well as its accompanying struggles.

She confesses of her experience: 'At the beginning of my career, I used to have panic attacks. People were touching me, screaming -- it made me really nervous. In public, I just get nervous.



It’s a physical reaction, feeling like the walls are closing in. The fans are great. It’s not their fault. I don’t ever want to come across as ungrateful. But on my end, it is hard for me to process. Because I am still just me,' the 30-year-old hitmaker continues.

But as she poses in a vintage bathing suit and a floral sheath dress, the multiplatinum recording artist is quick to explain she always has been slightly resistant to social situations.

She describes her upbringing as having a substantial impact on her personality: 'I'm not a mushy person at all. We were never a huggy family. Or a ''let's talk it out'' family. Technically I have siblings but they are quite a bit older than me -- I was the accident -- so I have the only-child syndrome going on.

'I'm a little more selfish, a little more independent, a little closed. I do wish I were softer. I wish I were able to form relationships better. But hey, I mean...I'm not a sociopath,' she quips.
