Ewan McGregor finds being alone “comforting”.

The ‘Miss Potter’ actor loved filming travel series ‘Long Way Round’ in 2004
because he got to ride his motorbike to the most remote places on earth.

He told Britain’s Esquire magazine: “When I arrived back in America I found
myself hankering for Siberia, where there was nothing. There’s something
comforting about being far away from everything and everyone you know.”

Ewan - who is preparing to hit the road again with his actor friend Charlie
Boorman for the second series, ‘The Long Way Down’ - insists his wife Eve
does not mind him being away from home for months on end.

He said: “Being away from my family is hard but it’s part of being an actor
anyway. My wife is very supportive. I’ve been married for 11 years and she’s
rarely been on the back of the bike but she’s coming along for some of the
next trip.”
