Mariah Carey on Her Breakdown
Mariah Carey believes her breakdown was a major "breakthrough" in her life.The singer, who was hospitalised in 2001 after suffering from "exhaustion",
is convinced she needed to hit "rock bottom" to sort her life out.
She told Interview magazine: "I consider the breakdown a breakthrough. I
needed to hit rock bottom. I needed to understand the cost of pushing so
hard, fighting so hard against the system. But was I out of control at that
moment? Yes."
Mariah - who appears naked on the front of the US publication - also admits
she is still learning how to successfully juggle her career and personal
life.
She added: "I'm far from perfect. I'm still learning. I overworked myself,
and I paid the price."
Mariah first sparked fears for her mental health in 2001 after she left a
series of strange postings on her website complaining of being overworked.
Later that year, she infamously performed a semi-strip tease during a
bizarre appearance on MTV's 'Total Request Live' show, which left host
Carson Daly covering his eyes. Just days later, Mariah checked into
hospital.
Tyra Banks Dumps Manager for Being the Diva
Tyra Banks has sacked her manager for allegedly being a bigger diva than sheis.
The talk show host has parted ways from Benny Medina of Handprint
Entertainment and insiders say her decision came after he "forgot who the
star was".
A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "His perk list is bigger
than hers. Everything from private jets and votive candles that the staff
has to light before he gets to the set. He forgot who the star was."
Medina had a bitter legal battle with Jennifer Lopez when she fired him as
her manager, but he insists his split from Tyra is amicable.
In a joint statement, Medina said: "Tyra Banks is a highly regarded artist,
entrepreneur and producer, and I respect her vision for developing her own
bankable brand.
"Tyra and Handprint Entertainment look forward to the opportunity to work
together on existing or new ventures. This is a great thing for everyone
involved."
Some have speculated Tyra's latest decision was heavily influenced by her
new boyfriend, investment banker John Utendahl, for whom she recently
uprooted her talk show to New York.
But a source close to the former model denied her lover was involved in the
split, saying: "John had nothing to do with this."

Lindsay Lohann’s Rehab Photoshoot
Lindsay Lohan has done a photo shoot in rehab.The 'Mean Girls' actress, who is currently staying at Utah's Cirque Lodge
detox centre, posed for the US edition of OK! magazine in a bid to show she
has turned over a new leaf.
OK! Editor-in-chief Sarah Ivens said: "She really is taking her treatment
very seriously. She is replacing Los Angeles and smoking with yoga and
reading.
"She hasn't looked this good in years."
In one shot, Lindsay - with her long hair tied back in a demure ponytail -
is seen reading Alcoholics Anonymous' 164-page 'Big Book'.
The tome includes personal stories of beating alcoholism and also explains
how the program works.
Ivens claims Lindsay finally decided to clean up her act for the sake of her
13-year-old sister Aliana.
She said: "Lindsay has been really worried about the influence she's having
on her little sister Aliana. That's why this time she's determined to sort
herself out, because she doesn't want her Ali to grow up and suffer the same
things she's suffered."
Lindsay entered the facility after being arrested last month for DUI
(driving under the influence), driving with a suspended license and cocaine
possession.
Meanwhile, the 21-year-old actress has left rehab temporarily to visit her
family.
Lindsay's mother Dina, brother Dakota, sister Ali and grandmother arrived at
the Cirque Lodge to meet the star for a four-hour visit.
The Lohans then left the facility and went to a local grocery store, before
dining at the Sundance Resort hotel's Tree Room restaurant.
A source said: "They sat at a corner table, by a side window and tucked into
a three-course meal. Lindsay sat by sister Ali, laughing and joking
throughout the meal. They looked to be having a wonderful time together."
It has been reported the prosecutor in Lindsay's most recent DUI arrest may
drop felony drug charges, even though there was a small amount of cocaine
found in the actress' pocket when she was arrested.
This means Lindsay's possible jail sentence will be just a few days rather
than up to two years.
Jenna Jameson: Goodbye Implants!
On August 1, Jameson visited Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Garth Fisher to have her breast implants removed.
Though she continues to run her $30 million-a-year ClubJenna empire, the 33-year-old is focusing on a Hollywood biopic, a comic book and a clothing line, due out next year.
Nearly two weeks after the three-hour surgery that took the 5-foot-6 star from a D-cup to a C-up, she sat down with Us Weekly to discuss her new body, her boyfriend (ultimate fighter Tito Ortiz, 33) and the future.
On why she had her implants removed:
“When I had implants, I felt uncomfortable. I would be shy at the beach. I know it sounds funny, but I’d wear high-necked clothes – unless I was at an adult-film convention. So I thought, Why don’t I be who I am and get my real ones back?”
On how removing the implants changed her:
“Even for women with naturally large boobs, getting a reduction is so freeing. I feel like I can stand up straighter…before, when I jogged, I had to hold my boobs. I looked like I was molesting myself!”
On how she felt postsurgery:
“Ecstatic. The first thing I did when I got home was open my bra. I wasn’t supposed to but I did. I was so happy, I cried. It was like looking into the mirror when I was 17.”
On whether she’s done with porn forever:
“Yes. A hundred percent.”
On who will play her in a movie about her life:
“I would love Scarlett Johansson to play me. I think Rachel McAdams is amazing, and Sienna Miller.”
On celebrating her one-year anniversary with boyfriend Tito:
“I had my surgery while he was in Iraq on a USO tour. He was so excited: ‘I’m coming home to brand new boobies.’”

Update: Tom Brady's ex Bridget Moynahan had a baby boy!
Gisele Bundchen is reportedly set to wed boyfriend Tom Brady.
The Brazilian model and the American footballer are said to be keen to tie the knot in the US this winter.
The smitten pair, who have been dating since 2006, want a small, private ceremony and Gisele has already started looking for her wedding dress.
A source said: "They'd like to keep it small and simple. She's looking at designs by Chanel and Dior."
Gisele, 27, recently revealed she will be happy to be a stepmother to Tom's unborn child with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
She said: "If you love someone, you love everything that comes with him. I found it easy to understand."
Earlier this year, Gisele admitted that her "greatest achievement" in life will be having children.
The beauty - who previously dated actor Leonardo DiCaprio - said: "Everybody is different, but for me, having a family will be my greatest achievement.
"When you have a family that you can raise the way your parents raised you then I think you have succeeded. I have that dream."
