Christina Applegate Goes Nude for PETA

Christina Applegate has posed nude for PETA in a bid to stop shoppers from buying fur this Christmas.

The 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy' actress is pictured wearing just a pair of red gloves with green cuffs for the animal rights group's e-card.

Christina decided to make a stand and pose for the raunchy campaign because of the respect she has for animals.

She told People magazine: "My house has been basically a zoo since I was a kid. Everything I wear has dog hair all over it, and that's just the way it is!"

The 35-year-old actress also said she decided to become a vegetarian while on the set of her TV sitcom, 'Married With Children', when she was a teenager.

She added: "I realized I can't eat something that has been alive. So I stopped, and that was it. That was the last time."

The e-card reads: "Cross cruelty off your shopping list by avoiding fur coats, collars, and cuffs (unless it's fake fur of course)."

Christina is following in the footsteps of Alicia Silverstone, Alyssa Milano, Maggie Q and Dominique Swain by stripping off for the charity.

Britney Spears is dating a waiter.

The pop wreck is dating waiter Michael Marchand, who works at exclusive Los Angeles eatery Mirabelle, where the hot new couple dined together in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A source said: "Michael came in a little after midnight, and she came in right after wearing black and dark glasses. They were being discreet. Forty-five minutes later, they left the restaurant together. He was charming - he made Britney laugh and looked at her with this secret smile. They left in separate cars."

When questioned about his romance with Britney, the tall, dark, handsome waiter replied: "I can't talk about that right now."

Britney, 25, instantly fell for Michael while dining at the trendy restaurant earlier this month.

A source added to Life and Style Weekly magazine: "Their chemistry was immediate. He's very attracted to her. They're always texting each other."

Meanwhile, the singer celebrated Thanksgiving a day early with her sons Sean Preston, two and 17-month-old Jayden James yesterday.

Britney and her ex-husband are currently embroiled in a bitter custody battle, with Kevin being awarded full temporary custody after Britney failed a drugs test.

She now has only three supervised visits a week with the boys.

Jessica Simpson is comfort eating to cope with being single.

The 'Dukes of Hazzard' actress, who split from musician John Mayer in the
summer, is said to be feeling lonely and has started gorging on French fries
to cheer herself up.

A source said: "Jessica jokes about wanting a boyfriend, but it isn't funny.
It hurts her to see her exes moving forward.

"She keeps getting crushes on the kind of guys who will let her down. That
triggers her cravings. She usually gives in to them at bedtime. When she is
at a hotel, she will often order a plate of French fries as a late-night
snack. She knows it isn't healthy, but she doesn't have a lot of willpower
right now."

Jessica has reportedly gained 10lbs since September and has turned to close
friend Mike Alexander to help get her back into shape.

The source added to the National Enquirer magazine: "Jessica recently binged
on buffalo wings and cupcakes and gained some weight. She feels horrible.

She is determined to work those pounds off - and she wants Mike to help her
do it. He literally got her butt into shape for 'Dukes of Hazzard'.

"He will give Jessica the disciplined 'boot camp' workout she needs - lots
of cardio, lots of lunges and weights.

"I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up in a romance with Mike. He has
always been there for her. Jessica leaned on him when her marriage to Nicky
Lachey fell apart.

"She feels safe when Mike is around."
