George Lucus Planning 3D Star Wars
George Lucus has been inspired by the success of James Cameron's epic movie Avatar - he wants to use the same technology to make 3D versions of his Star Wars films.
The director is keen to see the space franchise evolve, but he has so far struggled to find the right technique to create the effects he wants.
After watching Cameron's latest movie, which has so far grossed more than $1.5 billion at the worldwide box office, Lucas is hopeful he will now be able to make the films in 3D.
He tells Access Hollywood, "I liked it (Avatar). I make movies like that, (so), I can appreciate what (James Cameron) went through to do it. (I'm) happy it's so successful, and worked very well in 3D. (I) haven't been a big fan of 3D, but that movie definitely improves in 3D.
"We've been looking for years and years and years of trying to take Star Wars and put it in 3D. But, (the) technology hasn't been there. We've been struggling with it, but I think this will be a new impetus to make that happen."

Meanwhile speaking of space, the Star Trek blu-ray DVD has been on constant replay in my home since it came out. Now that would also be another great 3D movie!

Latest Celebrity Tax Fail Victim: Brooke Shields
*UPDATE: A spokesperson for Shields has put the matter down to a mistake in paperwork, insisting the couple's taxes are fully paid up.The rep tells GossipCop.com, "(The story is) completely wrong. Brooke doesn’t owe anything. All taxes were filed and paid timely. The IRS credited her payments to the wrong tax account.”
Brooke Shields is facing a $10,000 tax bill after U.S. officials accused her of falling behind with her payments.
Executives at America's Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filed a federal tax lien on December 31, 2009, alleging the actress and her husband Chris Henchy owe $4,391.70 in unpaid taxes from 2004.
The couple is also said to owe $5,932.50 from 2005, according to TMZ.com.
At least she doesn't owe $14 million like Nicolas Cage.

Channing Tatum: From Teenage Exotic Dancer To Stripper Movie
Actor Channing Tatumis bringing his experiences as a stripper to the big screen - he's developing a new movie based on his colorful past.The G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra star worked as an exotic dancer as a teenager before he broke into acting - and now he's basing a new film project on his former job.
He tells the Sydney Morning Herald, "I did it for almost a year. I've lived a crazy life, for sure. It seemed like a fun thing to do at the time and I got out unscathed. It's nothing I'm ashamed of and I'm not proud of it either.
"I've already got the director picked out. I'd like Nicolas Refn, who did the movie Bronson, to do it because he's insane for it. It needs to be a crazy film and I think it's also possible to do a cute, romantic movie."
And Tatum is eyeing a starring role in the picture: "I'm going to be getting back in my thong again."

Grease Star To Undergo Surgery After Fall
Grease star Jeff Conaway was admitted to hospital on Monday (01/18/10), after suffering a brain hemorrhage in a freak fall.The 59 year old tumbled down the stairs of his California home and was taken to a Los Angeles medical facility by ambulance.
He suffered a broken hip, a broken arm, a fractured neck and a brain hemorrhage in the accident and is set to undergo surgery, girlfriend Vikki Lizzi tells TMZ.com.
No further information was available as WENN went to press.
Conaway most recently appeared on U.S. TV show Celebrity Rehab in 2008 in a bid to conquer his drink and drug demons.
