The 5 Island Staples Eva Mendes Would Want

Eva Mendes can't live without spice.

'The Spirit' actress enjoys a temperature-raising taste sensation and would
take crushed red pepper and her boyfriend with her if she was ever stranded
on a desert island.

She said: "My five desert island staples would have to be my boyfriend
George Augusto, our dog Hugo, an iPod, the Sunday New York Times newspaper
and crushed red pepper."

The 43-year-old actress has also revealed she wouldn't change a thing about
her physical appearance.

She told Britain's The Times newspaper: "I love and accept my body
completely. I know that is not an interesting answer, but I really wouldn't
change anything. I've worked too hard on accepting it all!"

But while Eva - the daughter of Cuban parents - isn't hankering after other
actress' looks, she is envious of those who tackle more challenging roles,
especially double Golden Globe winner Kate Winslet.

She said: "I would steal Kate Winslet's roles. All her roles. Not only is
she the most amazing actress in the entire world, she's done nude scenes in
a lot of her films which shows she's just fearless."

Eva can currently be seen in comic book drama 'The Spirit' alongside
Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson.
