Family Guy Creator’s Big Band Album

'Family Guy' creator Seth MacFarlane is releasing an album.
The cartoonist's debut, 'Music Is Better Than Words', sees him sing a number of 40s and 50s big band tracks, including teaming up for duets with artists including Norah Jones and Sara Bareilles.
Seth said: "It's rare in this day and age to have the opportunity to create an album that celebrates the classic, sophisticated sound of rich, lush swing orchestrations. It was an absolute joy to sing this music."
In addition to show tunes, Seth - who's comedies also include 'American Dad!' and 'The Cleveland Show' - also recorded some newer material, including the song 'She's Wonderful Too', originally written by film and television composer Joel McNeely, but with additional lyrics and melodies by Seth.
The cartoonist - who has previously performed at prestigious venues including New York's Carnegie Hall - will celebrate the release with a performance at The Royal Albert Hall in London on August 27 and at the English capital's famous jazz club, Ronnie Scott's, on August 30.
Penelope Cruz& Her Sister Get Hot For New Super Mario Bros. 2
Penelope Cruz dressed up as Mario for a new Nintendo ad.
The actress and her sister Monica turn rivals in the commercial for 'New Super Mario Bros 2' as Penelope plays on a red 3DS console while Monica uses a blue one.

In the video, Penelope is completely engrossed in the game and can be heard saying "Come on, Mario, let's go good boy!" as her character races around trying to collect gold coins.
However, Monica manages to beat her sister playing as Luigi, Mario's brother.
The humorous video ends with Penelope dressed up as moustachioed plumber Mario while her sibling looks on laughing.
Nintendo marketing executive Laurent Fischer said: "Teaming up with the Cruz sisters is a perfect fit for us. Not only because 'New Super Mario Bros 2' let's two players enjoy the entire adventure playing as brothers Mario and Luigi simultaneously but because these sisters have been genuine fans of the series for many years..
"The co-op mode really brought out their competitive side and they had a lot of fun trying to collect as many coins as possible while racing to finish each level first."
ZZ Top named Living Legends
ZZ Top will receive the Living Legend Award at the Classic Rock Roll Of Honour.
The veteran rockers - comprising Billy Gibbons, Frank Beard and Dusty Hill - will follow in the footsteps of Jeff Beck, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Jimmy Page and Iggy Pop when they pick up the accolade at the Orange Amplification Presents The Classic Rock Roll Of Honour in association with currencies.co.uk on November 13.
Frontman Billy Gibbons says he and his bandmates can't wait for the ceremony.
He told Classic Rock magazine: "ZZ Top band members are excitedly gearing up to attend the 2012 Classic Rock Awards, a celebration held in a timely manner following the long awaited release of the new ZZ disc, 'La Futura'. Good times for sure!
"We've stuck it out long enough to where this once unpredictable style, which has no basis other than oddness, brought us back into vogue."
Meanwhile, the group will also battle it out for the Band of the Year prize, but face competition in the category from Black Sabbath, Guns n' Roses, Joe Bonamassa, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Rush.
Fans can vote in the awards - where categories include Best New Band, Event of the Year, and Album of the Year - at www.classicrockmagazine.com/awards.
The winners will be announced at London's Roundhouse on November 13.
The Goth Britney Spears
Marina and the Diamonds wants to sound like a "goth Britney Spears".
The 26-year-old singer - real name Marina Diamandis - originally wanted to make a purely electronic album after her first record, 'The Family Jewels', but settled on the idea of making it bubblegum pop with a dark edge.
She said: "I didn't feel a need to change, but it's a lot more electronic. The blueprint was a goth Britney Spears. I wanted to make a dark bubblegum pop album.
"The first song I wrote was called 'Living Dead' and the rest is a steady progression from there. The direction you go in isn't really calculated, it just happens - it's still pop."
Despite taking influence from Britney's sound, she admits she gets annoyed when people compare her to artists such as Lana Del Rey and Lady Gaga.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I would be totally lying if I said it didn't annoy me to be compared to other artists. It really annoys me.
"I could draw up a list of about 30 artists I apparently sound like. From Lady Gaga to Katy Perry to Lana Del Rey. I don't know if it's because I'm versatile or because production affects how people judge music."
