Jennifer Lopez is being lined up to star in her own TV show. The Latin beauty is reportedly in talks with MTV to appear in a fly-on-the-wall series which will follow her everyday life.

It is rumoured the show will also track the exploits of a group of dancers who, under J.Lo's tutorage, will be seen trying to make it in the fiercely competitive industry. The multi-talented star started off as a dancer before hitting the big time on the big screen and in the music business.

A source said: "It is very early in the development of the show and anything could happen at this point."

It is not the only project Lopez has lined up. The star is being hotly-tipped to play Sue Ellen Ewing in the movie version of 'Dallas'.

J.Lo is believed to be wanted by film bosses to portray the adulterous wife of J.R. Ewing, a role made famous by Linda Gray in the classic 80s soap. Other stars being considered for the movie - about the exploits of wealthy Texas oil millionaires - include John Travolta, Luke Wilson and Shirley MacLaine.

On being misunderstood:

"I think a lot of people just don't understand what I'm about.

"They see me laughing, having a good time, and they may think, 'Oh, she's so ambitious and everything,' but the thing is that I'm just a creative person.

"If I could describe myself to somebody, that's how I would do it," she says. "I'd say 'I'm creative and that's what drives me.' I think people think I'm driven by the money things and all that stuff. They get it so mixed up that they forget that's not why I started doing it. I started doing it because I love to perform."

On why her relationship with husband Marc Anthony works:

"Both of us being from New York, both being Puerto Rican, was obviously something that connected us from the beginning.

"The thing with me and Marc … whenever the two of us got in a room together, neither one of us could stop laughing. He comes off as a very serious artist because he is; he's blessed and has a tremendous gift. But because he's so serious – people don't realize because he doesn't give a lot of interviews – he's one of the funniest people you'll ever meet.”

On former fiancé Ben Affleck:

"I honestly have to say that my own trials and tribulations were really hard, especially living in the public eye.

"That experience made me seek more peace, more truth, more honesty, more goodness in my life. It has made me want more. And if it wasn't for that experience, who knows what I would have done, who I would have been – hopefully still a nice person, but maybe not in as good a place as I am now."

On having children:

"Yeah, that would be nice. That would be nice for sure. I feel that will happen naturally when it does."
