Will.i.am says carrying the Olympic torch was a dream come true.
The Black Eyed Peas star was chosen as one of the 8,000 inspirational people to become a torchbearer as the flame makes its way across the UK ahead of the London Games this summer and he admits it was a thrill to be involved.
Speaking in Taunton, Devon, South West England, where he carried the torch today, will.i.am said: "It feels like a dream. This is something you've always seen growing up so to be here today in the UK with all the hard work it took me to be able to get to this level and do that, it's just pursuing my dreams. And now I'm in the UK and running with the torch and it's great."
After running with the torch, the 'I Gotta Feeling' hitmaker then took to his twitter account to speak of his joy at being involved.
He wrote: "A great memory in the town of tauton today...#tweetthetorch... (sic)"
"Taking off in the hip.hop.copter...i loved tauton...great people...#tweetthetorch (sic)"
The torch arrived in Britain from Greece on Friday with soccer star David Beckham being one of the people to help bring it into the country.
London 2012 starts on July 27, where the flame will be carried into the Olympic Stadium after its tour of the UK.
David Beckham wants to coach children when he retires from professional soccer.
The 37-year-old star - who currently plays for Los Angeles Galaxy in the US - believes working with youngsters would be far more rewarding for him than management, which is what he thinks many assume he will do.
He said: "People always ask me what I want to do when I've finished playing, and they say, 'Do I want to go into management?'
"To be honest I've never wanted to go into management. I love coaching kids, I love working with kids. They're amazing people. They're amazingly truthful, young people, and that's what I love doing.
David - who has four children, Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, nine, Cruz, seven and nine-month-old daughter Harper with wife Victoria Beckham - also revealed he was particularly excited to recently take the Olympic torch from Greece to the UK ahead of the 2012 London Games.
He added to the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "It was incredible. To bring the flame back from Athens into England was a huge honor for myself and I'm very proud of that."
David is widely expected to take part in the Olympic Games as part of the Great Britain soccer team.

Here's Rene Campbell, a 35-year-old world champion bodybuilder that has spent the past 5 years bulking her body like The Hulk. In the latest issue of UK's Now magazine, the British woman has revealed her struggle in finding her perfect man. The 200 pound single mother of two revealed: “I’d love a boyfriend who could cheer me on at competitions and cook my chicken for me, but the way I look does make it harder to meet men. But what makes having a relationship even harder is finding someone who can put up with my regimented lifestyle. I was dating two years ago, but the guy struggled with the fact that I had to put my training first.” Campbell dedicates two hours of hard training each day and maintains a 4,200-calorie per day diet. So, what are her measurements? 48-32-47. Holy Moly. (Radar Online)
