Halle Berry Says: I’m Pregnant

Halle Berry has confirmed she is pregnant.

The ‘Monster’s Ball’ star has revealed she is “beyond excited” to be three months pregnant with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry’s baby.

Halle, 41, told US TV show ‘Access Hollywood’: “Yes, I am three months pregnant!

“Gabriel and I are beyond excited, and I’ve waited a long time for this moment in life. Now the next few months will be the longest of my life!”

The ‘X-Men’ star met 32-year-old model Gabriel while shooting a Versace ad in Los Angeles in November 2005. The pair went public with their relationship in February 2006.

Halle, who has been married twice, revealed in April her life would not be complete until she became a mother.

She said: “Not that there’s not more to accomplish, but I think I have arrived at a point in my life where I have realized I need more to get me up in the morning.

“More than going to a new movie set. I need something more profound and that’s family, that’s children.

“I need that like the air to breathe these days and I’m ready. I’m at a point where I’m really, really ready.”

Halle – who previously vowed to get pregnant before she turned 40 – was determined to become a mother in 2007, even if it meant adopting.

She said: "Having children is my next big project. I'm planning on becoming pregnant by the end of the year - it's my age, it's only natural.

"If it can't happen naturally, Gabriel and I will adopt.”

Halle contemplated artificial insemination before she started dating Gabriel.

She said: "It looks like the only option I have left is to head for the sperm bank! I've been so desperately unlucky in love and that has thwarted my desire for motherhood. It's so frustrating. I really yearn for a child and I can't wait much longer."

Halle Berry Thought About Suicide

Halle Berry contemplated suicide after her first marriage imploded.

The 40-year-old actress, who was devastated when her marriage to baseball
player David Justice collapsed in 1996, only changed her mind after thinking
of the effect it would have on her mother.

She told Parade magazine: "I was sitting in my car, and I knew the gas was
coming, when I had an image of my mother finding me. She sacrificed so much
for her children, and to end my life would be an incredibly selfish thing to
do.

"It was all about a relationship. My sense of worth was so low. I had to
re-program myself to see the good in me. Because someone didn't love me
didn't mean I was unlovable. I promised myself I would never be a coward
again."

Halle received therapy after the incident and went on to marry musician Eric
Benet in 2001. The couple divorced in 2005.

The Oscar-winning actress, who is now dating model Gabriel Aubry, has
revealed she is desperate to start a family.

Halle said: "Now my sights are set on a different chapter in my life, which
is motherhood. That's the goal I have very clearly set for myself."
