Kevin Costner has been approached to star in two new movies.

The 'Hatfields & McCoys' star is top choice for director Kenneth Branagh to star in his Jack Ryan reboot, an origins story based on Tom Clancy's books which will feature Chris Pine as the main character.

Kevin's role is thought to be a recruiter of and mentor to Jack, in the film which will also see the director take on the part of a Russian villain who plots to wreck the US economy.

Meanwhile, Kevin has been offered the role of Ethan Renner, a government assassin with a terminal condition, in 'Three Days to Kill'.

Before he dies, he chooses to take on one last mission and find a way to reconcile with his daughter.

McG is set to direct the movie which has been scripted by Luc Besson and Adi Hasak.

Kevin is winning rave reviews for his role in 'Hatfields & McCoys' and has been nominated for an Emmy award for lead actor in a mini-series or movie.

He said: "I have to be honest, this is a thrill, this is really great.

"When I first read it, I knew it had a chance to be classic if we did what was written. I wasn't surprised when it turned out that people liked it, but I was surprised when I learned it was this phenomenal."

Kevin Costner’s Expensive Massage

A masseuse who accused Kevin Costner of masturbating in front of her has won an out-of-court settlement. The woman sued hotel bosses for firing her after she claimed the married Hollywood actor had harassed her.

She was offered - and accepted - a settlement during her employment tribunal this week. During the hearing, officials banned the press from revealing Costner was the star at the centre of the scandal - but his name spread across the internet. The ban was lifted hours after the case was settled yesterday (04.25.06).

The woman had accused the actor of pleasuring himself, earlier this year, while receiving a massage at Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews, Scotland - where he and his wife Christine spent their honeymoon in 2004. The 35-year-old told the tribunal the 'Dances With Wolves' star "kept putting his hand underneath his towel", and when she began to massage his head he "grabbed her wrist forcefully, whipped off his towel and exposed himself".

She said: "Even though he was a Hollywood superstar I couldn't believe he thought he could get away with something like that.

"He abused me and I considered that a criminal act."

Costner, who was not at the hearing, has refused to comment.

Kevin Costner’s Hairstylist Steals His Laptop

A hairdresser hired to style guest's hair at Kevin Costner's wedding is to face felony charges for allegedly stealing the actor's laptop computer - complete with private wedding photos.

Pascal Bensimon has been charged with stealing the 'Dances With Wolves' star's portable computer and is due in court on Monday (12.19.05) to face charges.

The 44-year-old hairstylist surrendered to sheriff's officials this week following a 14-month investigation into the theft and was released on $5,000 bail.

The Apple Powerbook computer, as well as a digital camera, was allegedly stolen at the reception after Costner's nuptials to Christine Baumgartner, in September 2004, and contained numerous photos of the ceremony, which took place at the 50-year-old actor's Aspen ranch.

Bensimon denies the charges and told the Aspen Daily News newspaper that he can't remember much of the wedding because someone spiked his drink with drugs.
