Paris Hilton is Simone Westlake

In Nicole Richie's new book The Truth About Diamonds, Simone Westlake is a self-centered party girl with a chihuahua dog. Sound familar?

Although the book is part autobiographical, Richie thinks it's more exciting to make things up. But when it comes to Simone Westlake, it's obvious the personality was based on her former best friend.

In Richie's book Simone, who somehow always "accidentally on purpose" loses her cell phone is not the sharpest tool in the shed. Simone then sneakily convinces "rock royalty princess" Chloe Parker (hmm let's see who that could be) to pretend they're best friends for an ad campaign. Then Simone stabs Chloe in the back.

Richie describes Simone as "a model, an actress and an all-around professional fake-rich girl" who has never been "seen out of pumps since puberty ... not even in her night-vision skin flicks."

Even Nicole Richie admits, "Simone and Paris have similarities."

Speaking of fake, Simone Westlake, opps I mean Paris Hilton fooled us all! Her 24-carat engagment ring was not even real, it was cubic zircona! And she picked it up herself. It makes sense now why she always wore that huge rock in public.

"The ring Paris [Latsis] gave her was a much smaller one [from Cartier]. She lied to Us Weekly about it and everyone picked it up." '

So I guess the truth about diamonds is that sometimes they can be fake.
