Cindy Crawford makes designer debut
Cindy Crawford is launching a clothing line for C&A.
The 46-year-old supermodel is thrilled to be teaming up with the high street chain for her first design collection and she hopes her creations will make consumers feel good.
She told lainformacion.com: "I have always dreamed of having my own fashion line and am thrilled to be partnering with C&A on this venture.
"It is important to me to be affiliated with a company that offers feel-good fashion with an unparalleled customer offering. My goal is to help design comfortable fashion for everyday wear."
The Cindy Crawford @ C&A collection features a selection of casual items including thick cardigans, T-shirts, skinny jeans and classic blazers which have been designed to be comfortable yet stylish.
She added: "Like many other women, I prefer to wear fashionable clothing that is comfortable.
"But also lets me be look great as I do the everyday tasks like taking my kids to school, attend a meeting or meet with my husband for dinner."
The affordable range of 31 items starts from as little as £9.50 and will be launched in over 1,500 stores across Europe including in Germany - where C&A is based - and Belgium this autumn.

Kanye West is in talks to become an 'American Idol' judge.
The 'Stronger' rapper is said to be negotiating with producers to join the judging panel of the singing talent show, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
However, Kanye - who is dating reality TV star Kim Kardashian - is unsure if he wants to do it as he's not sure if it's right for his career.
A source added: "He's on the fence."
If he does sign up, Kanye can expect to be paid the same salary as new judge Mariah Carey, who is earning $18 million for the series.
Nicki Minaj is also be lined up to join Mariah on the panel and is said to be close to signing a deal.
Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Nick Jonas and Enrique Iglesias are also in the running to be a judge but it's thought if Kanye signs up, producers will have four of them sitting on the panel.
Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler quit the show earlier this year while it's thought original judge Randy Jackson will become a mentor to the contestants.
Michael Jackson wanted Bad to beat Thriller
Michael Jackson was "determined" 'Bad' would outsell 'Thriller'.
The late King of Pop - who died of acute Propofol intoxication in 2009 - was "very self-motivated" and even pinned up signs around his house to urge himself to work harder on the iconic 1987 LP in a bid to outdo his previous effort, which is the best-selling album of all time.
Director Spike Lee - who has been working on 'Bad 25', a documentary about the making of the album - told MTV News: "I learned that, number one, he was very self-motivated. Even though it was an impossible task, Michael wanted 'Bad' to outsell 'Thriller'. And everywhere he'd go, he'd put up signs, write on mirrors in bathrooms; '100 million.' "
"He always wanted to surpass what he had done previously and 100 million albums sold. He was determined to do that."
Since its 1982 release, 'Thriller' has sold more than 110 million copies across the globe.
Though 'Bad' never matched its success, the record is still the fifth best-selling album of all time, shifting around 30 million copies worldwide.
Next month sees the release of 'Bad 25', a repackaged version of the album that will include the documentary, unreleased demo songs, remixes and concert footage.

Amanda Bynes was involved in yet another car accident Monday night ... TMZ has learned.
Bynes was driving in the San Fernando Valley at around 8 PM when a car rear-ended her rental. The driver of the other car claims Amanda made a reckless maneuver that triggered the collision. Cops showed up but no one was ticketed.
BTW, Amanda is in a rental because her Beemer is in the body shop.
In the last 6 months, Amanda has been arrested for DUI, and accused of 3 hit-and-runs. Cops also say she skipped out on them last March when they were writing her up for driving while yakking on her cell phone.
Jim Carrey courted for Kick-Ass 2
Jim Carrey is being courted for 'Kick-Ass 2'.
The 50-year-old funnyman is being pursued for a supporting role in 'Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall', Jeff Wadlow's sequel to the 2010 kooky superhero comedy.
'The Mask' actor has been scouted to play The Colonel, who assembles a team of misfit superheroes to fight evil, according to Deadline.com.
It is thought the character could be Colonel Stars, who features in Mark Millar's comic book series as a born again Christian superhero who forgoes his mobster past to form the Justice Forever team.
Jim is reportedly a big fan of the original 'Kick-Ass' film by Matthew Vaughn and is no stranger to superhero films, having played the Riddler in 'Batman Forever'.
Chloe Moretz, Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Nicolas Cage are all set to reprise their roles in the superhero satire sequel.
New additions to the cast list include Donald Faison as Doctor Gravity, a student with delusions of grandeur and John Leguizamo as Javier, Red Mist's bodyguard.
Jim has just wrapped 'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone' and has been linked to upcoming comedy 'Dumb and Dumber 2'.
Universal are set to begin filming 'Kick-Ass 2' in September and the film is set for release in June 2013.
Cher to marry former Hells Angel
Cher is reportedly going to marry a former Hells Angel biker.
The 66-year-old singer-and-actress is set to tie the knot with Tim Medvetz, 42, this autumn with the couple planning on having a quickie ceremony at a wedding chapel in Las Vegas.
The nuptials will be the culmination of a road trip the pair intend to take across the US which will end in the gambling capital.
A friend of Cher's told the National Enquirer: "Cher and Tim plan to hop on the back of a chopper this fall and take off on a road trip that will end at a Vegas wedding chapel."
Cher and Tim - who recently scaled Mount Everest for a second time - were previously in a relationship a few years ago and came close to getting wed in 2008 but her busy career stopped their plans.
After the romance ended, the 'Burlesque' star was convinced she wouldn't marry again, but her transgender son Chaz, 43, and other son Elijah Blue, 36, urged her to rekindle the relationship with Tim, and she took the advice and has never been happier.
The source added: "This is Cher's last chance at love, and she has her sons Chaz and Elijah Blue to thank.
"Chaz sat Cher down and said, 'Mom, get a life! Go back to Tim!'
"The two met up secretly and they picked up right where they left off. Now Cher is beaming, and Tim told a pal, 'I thought climbing Everest was the ultimate call of the wild, but I think marrying Cher will top that!' "
Cher has been married twice before. Her first husband was the late Sonny Bono - Chaz's father - who she wed in 1963 and divorced in 1975.
She then walked down the aisle with blues musician Gregg Allman - who is Elijah Blue's dad - later that same year but they separated after two years before finalizing their divorce in 1979.
Cher has also been in relationships with Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, Warren Beatty, Eric Clapton and Richie Sambora.
