Michael Jackson’s Chimp Had Powers

image

Michael Jackson was apparently convinced his chimpanzee Bubbles had an instinct for being able to tell who in his family was trying to live off his fortune.

The late star is said to have barred siblings from his Neverland ranch if the pet did not like them.

Michael reportedly told staff: "He is a good judge of character."

A former housekeeper told The Sun newspaper: "Bubbles often would be a gauge for Michael to decide who should stay and go."

The revelation comes around the time that the performer's family endure an argument over his millions, three years after his death in Los Angeles aged 51.

His ex-employee said Michael would react to Bubbles response to his various relatives.

He would say: "They are only after my money."

Brothers Jermaine and Randy were said to be among those regularly snubbed.

Jermaine recently defected from a family letter criticizing the Michael Jackson Estate.

However he still has "deep reservations" about the executors.

Jermaine posted a long letter on his twitter account confirming the move.

He wrote: "I rescind my signature from the letter which was sent to the Estate, and which should never have gone public."

"I still hold deep reservations about many issues involving the Estate, and I will continue to bring scrutiny and a resolute voice wherever we have cause for concern. But the way to address such matters is through the proper channels and via a private dialogue, not public conflict."

Why You Won’t Hear Motley Crue At Seaworld

image

Tommy Lee has banned SeaWorld from using Motley Crue's music.

The drummer was enraged when he heard the aquatic theme park wanted to use rock music for new killer whale display show 'Shamu Rocks', as he believes it is cruel to make the giant sea mammals perform for entertainment.

In a letter to John T. Reilly, president of the theme park's San Diego location, he wrote: "I'm writing to ask you not to play any Motley Crue's songs at any of SeaWorld's parks during this sad show.

"Although we like to torture the human fans who willingly come to our shows, we don't want to be a part of making innocent animals' lives hellish."

This is not the first time Tommy - an active member of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) - has been upset about the treatment of whales by SeaWorld.

image

In 2010, he wrote to the Orlando, Florida, branch of the park, to complain about the way they got whale sperm from one of their Orca whales, Tilikum.

Tommy wrote: "We know from SeaWorld's own director of safety (as well as videos on the web) that the way you get his sperm is by having someone get into the pool and masturbate him with a cow's vagina filled with hot water.

"Even in my wildest days with Motley Crue, I never could've imagined something so sick and twisted."

SeaWorld hit back at the allegations, saying the idea they used a cow's vagina to masturbate a whale was "beyond ludicrous".

Both Tommy and PETA have called for the whales to be released into the wild.

Jessica Simpson’s Father Arrested For DUI

image

Joe Simpson was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) last weekend.

The 54-year-old showbiz patriarch - the father-and-manager of Jessica and Ashlee Simpson - was stopped by officers on Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, at around 10pm on August 4 and the police thought he was intoxicated so arrested him.

Joe was booked and spent the rest of the night in a cell. He was released at 9:41am the following day and did not have to post bail.

According to gossip website TMZ.com, the case has not yet been sent to prosecutors in the Los Angeles City Attorney's office yet.

However, if criminal charges are filed, Joe is unlikely to receive any jail time as it is his first offense so he would probably just receive a fine.

While Joe was arrested for DUI on Saturday, his daughter Jessica - who gave birth to daughter Maxwell Drew in May - was discussing how she now opts for water instead of alcohol at weekends.

She tweeted: "Responsibility has drastically changed my life! Saturday night drink of choice ... WATER! smile (sic)"

Heather Graham Is Ready For Her Third Hangover

Heather Graham is returning to 'Hangover III'.

The 42-year-old actress is set to reprise her role as Las Vegas stripper Jade - who married Ed Helms' alter-ego Stu in the comedy franchise's debut movie in 2009 - but plot details have remained largely under wraps.

image

According to Variety, Jade looks set to reunite with Stu in the forthcoming movie, which will also see series veterans Ken Jeong (Leslie Chow) and Mike Epps (Black Doug) return for the third installment.

Lead characters Bradley Cooper (Phil),Zach Galifianakis (Alan) and Ed - who are collectively known as 'The Wolf Pack' in the film - are also reprising their roles in the movie, which is expected to add a number of well-known actors in cameo roles, as well as the return of boxer Mike Tyson to the franchise.

The 'Hangover III' is expected to return to its roots and be shot in Vegas, as the first movie was, with parts of the film featuring Tyson set to be filmed just off the city's famous strip at Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino.

The motion picture is expected to see Phil and Stu attempt to break Alan out of a mental hospital and will be shot in Tijuana and Los Angeles.

Direct Todd Phillips will also return to the franchise and he is "so excited" to work on the third and final installment of the series.

He previously said: "I'm so excited to embark on another 'Hangover' film with Bradley, Ed and Zach. We're going to surprise a lot of people with the final chapter we have planned.

"It will be a fitting conclusion to our three-part opera of mayhem, despair and bad decisions."

Plans Underway for ALF Movie

image

ALF is returning on the big screen.

Song Pictures Animation have acquired the rights to the classic 1980s sitcom and plan to produce a hybrid CGI/live action movie, rather than using the puppet from the original show.

Puppeteer Paul Fusco, who voiced the titular character in the show - which ran for 102 episodes from 1986-1990 - is likely to reprise his role for the film and is also part of the production team.

The Smurfs' Jordan Kerner and 'ALF' creator Tom Patchett will also serve as producers.

'ALF' - which stood for Alien Life Form - followed a friendly furry alien who crash landed on Earth and moved in with a suburban family, the Tanners.

The creature - whose name was later revealed as Gordon Shumway - is sarcastic and courted trouble with government forces.

No writer or director is attached to the project yet.

Earlier this year, Paul expressed his hope for an 'ALF' movie.

He said: "I think the timing is right. That's a big important thing, timing. There have been movies out there of characters that I didn't think were on the same parallel as ALF that got movies made, so I think it's time. I think it could be a home run on a lot of levels.

"ALF could be more outspoken now than ever, because the world is a whole different place than the 80s. And I think the character still stands up and certainly has more to say now than ever.

"I think we would approach it in a fresh way. I don't think we would duplicate the TV show, but I think we would maybe put it in a storyline where we would explain how ALF got here and put him with a new family and let the character speak for himself."

Dido Has New Music On The Table

Dido is working on a new album.

The 40-year-old singer - whose album 'No Angel' sold 21 million copies worldwide - is back in the studio laying down tracks for her fourth record and set to collaborate with some big names.

image

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "She's writing again and is in the studio recording some fantastic material. She has a fantastic team behind her and there will be at least two surprise duets on the album."

As well as working on her career, last year, the 'Thank You' music maker became a mother for the first time, giving birth to son Stanley in July.

However, her pregnancy meant she missed out on the opportunity to perform her song 'If I Rise', from the movie '127 Hours' at February's Oscars.

She wrote on her website at the time: "Hello everyone, It's been a month of amazing news for me and now I have some more to share. Me and my husband Rohan are expecting a baby and we're beyond happy and excited about it.

"So as some of you already know, I won't be able to travel to Los Angeles for the Oscars ceremony to perform 'If I Rise'.

"Obviously I'm really gutted about not being there - going to the Oscars has literally been a dream of mine since I was about nine."
