Paris Hilton is sorry "from the bottom" of her heart of insulting gay people.
The 31-year-old socialite was recorded stating many gay men "probably have AIDS" and saying they are "disgusting" for being promiscuous to a friend in the back of a taxi, but she has now apologized for her words and insists they do not represent her true feelings towards the homosexual community.
In a statement on the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) website, she said: "I am so sorry and so upset that I caused pain to my gay friends, fans and their families with the comments heard this morning. I was having this private conversation with a friend of mine who is gay and our conversation was in no way towards the entire gay community.
"It is the last thing that I would ever want to do and I cannot put into words how much I wish I could take back every word."
She also proclaimed gay people to be among "the most inspiring" individuals she knows because many have to overcome bullying.
Paris added: "Gay people are the strongest and most inspiring people I know. It is so wrong when people bully or put down others for being gay.
"No one should have to go through that. Again, I am so sorry from the bottom of my heart and I feel absolutely horrible."
Demi Lovato Thought She Was Fat In Her Diaper
Demi Lovato says her body issues began when she was three.
The 'X Factor' judge - who has spent time in rehab getting treatment for her eating disorder and self harming - admits she felt she was overweight from a very young age, and the insecurities have stayed with her.
She told talk show 'Katie': "I remember being three years old in a diaper and rubbing my hand over my stomach ... and I remember thinking in my head, 'I wonder if one day this will ever be flat?' "
The 20-year-old beauty - who has recently been named as the new ambassador of a bullying campaign - was targeted at school as the girls used to tease her for her appearance.
Demi added: "It played more of a toll on me than if I was physically abused in school. I've always said I wished that they had just hit me in the face and gotten it over with because what they said to me sticks to me to this day and it affected me, (turned) me into the person I am today. I was bullied and they called me fat and they called me horrible things."
Amanda Bynes Dropped
Amanda Bynes has been dropped by her agent, publicist and entertainment lawyer.
The troubled 'Easy A' actress has been abandoned by three of her team in recent weeks, with them all claiming it is due to her behavior becoming increasingly erratic in recent months.
One source told TMZ.com her management team haven't been able to get in touch with the former child star in a month and attempts to get help her before she went under the radar had all failed.
Amanda has had a turbulent few months, including recently having her car impounded and her driving license suspended while she faces charges of DUI (driving under the influence) and multiple accusations of hit and run.
The 26-year-old star denies she is responsible, saying she never drinks and drives, as well as claiming she is quitting acting, which could explain why she hasn't talked to her managers.
She said: "I am doing amazing. I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line. I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don't drink, and I don't drink and drive. It is all false."
Despite her assertions, Amanda was again involved in two bizarre incidents earlier this week, locking herself in a store changing room for nearly two hours and refusing to come out and stripping off during a gym class.
An onlooker in the class said: "Amanda stopped to take her T-shirt off, revealing only a tiny, black, strapless push-up bra - not a sports bra.
"She then picked up her Louis Vuitton handbag and pulled out her makeup kit and started reapplying her lipstick and eyeliner while looking at herself in the large mirror in front of her."

The duo - made up of Redfoo and Sky Blu - have decided to break up after drifting apart and going in different directions.
Redfoo said: "I think that we naturally just started hanging with two different sets of people, two different crowds, but we're always family. He'll always be my nephew, I'll always be his uncle.
"I feel like we've been doing this for so long, five or six years. And we're kind of like saying, well, let's just do what's natural and just kind of explore that, instead of like forcing it all the time."
Redfoo will now be focusing on his solo material but insists it will still have a LMFAO-feel to it.
He said: "All the music that I'm going to make is always going to be LMFAO-ish... I love all the topics that we talk about. I was really passionate about bringing party music to the world, so I will always be making some kind of party music."
Kanye West Freaking Out Over Sex Tape

The latest sex tape being shopped around stars no other than rapper Kanye West with an 18 year-old Kim Kardashian look-a-like. According to RadarOnline, the 20 minute video was shot in a hotel room in which the unidentified woman says, "My husband and I don't have sex anymore… that's why I'm here!"
According to a San Fernando sex industry insider, Kanye was already dating girlfriend Kim Kardashian and is terrified of the sex tape getting out. The source revealed: "The sex tape is being shopped right now and there's a lot of interest, but Kanye is freaking out!"
Apparently during the sex romp, Kanye made sure to wear a condom although there was no kissing at all.

Indiana Jones 5 Can Happen
Steven Spielberg has urged George Lucas to get the 'Indiana Jones 5' script "organized".
The Hollywood director - who helmed the first four movies in the franchise - is desperate to make a fifth film and while he's confirmed Harrison Ford is also keen on reprising his role as the titular character, it all depends on George's script.
Karen Allen - who plays Indiana's adventurous love interest Marion Ravenwood in the franchise - confirmed she is interested in starring in 'Indiana Jones 5' and admitted she has been in talks with Steven about the movie becoming a reality.
She said: "I, in fact, just talked with Steven Spielberg recently - we emailed back and forth, and I said, 'What should I say? I'm doing this publicity, what should I say if people ask me that question?'
"And he said, "It's in George's [Lucas] hands! I'm game, Harrison's game, and now it's up to George to write the script or to get the script organised, and the story."
While Karen confirmed Steven is keen to make another 'Indiana Jones' film, she insists the production team only want to make another movie if everyone is happy with the script.
Speaking to Movies.com, she added: "They want to do a fifth, from what I understand, but they don't want to do it just to do it, they want to do it if they can come up with a story that everybody is happy with and that everybody likes."
