Whitney Houston Kept Drug Habit From Friends
Whitney Houston hid her drug habit from her friends and family in the weeks before her tragic death.
The 'I Will Always Love You' singer - who had a history of substance abuse - was found dead in the bath tub of her hotel room in February after suffering a huge heart attack partly brought on by her cocaine abuse but those close to her thought she had been clean for two years.
Whitney's pal and entertainment consultant Raffles van Exel said: "Whitney was good at hiding her drug habit. I honestly thought she was clean in the two years before she died. Yes, she would have the occasional drink. And I knew she was taking painkillers and the anxiety drug Xanax. But I never suspected she was using hard drugs.
"It really shocked me when I found that out. And actually it made me quite mad because I thought, 'Whitney, you had us all fooled.' Everyone thought Whitney was in a good place and we never imagined anything like this was going to happen."
However, Raffles said 48-year-old Whitney - who had been using cocaine at the time of death - had a premonition she was going to die.
He told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "But looking back, Whitney seemed to have a premonition about her death. She started carrying a Bible around everywhere she went and would read from it all the time.
"Also, she kept talking about 'leaving' America. I thought she meant she was going to Switzerland, where she had talked about living, but now I realise she meant she was leaving this world."
Bobbi Kristina Brown Cries Over Whitney’s Award

Whitney Houston's daughter broke down in tears as she accepted an award for her late mother.
Bobbi Kristina Brown said she felt "blessed" to have been part of the 'I Will Always Love You' singer's life and thanked people for supporting her family through all of the singer's difficulties until her death in February as she accepted the Millennium Award at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night.
Bobbi Kristina took to the stage with Patricia Houston - her mother's sister-in-law and manager - and wept as she said: "I really want to say thank you to everyone who supported us through it all.
"Not just from when it was good but when it was bad, too. Thank you for showing that much love, because she deserved it ... I'm just blessed to have been in such an incredible woman's life. There will never be another one, ever."
Whitney - who died as a result of accidental drowning in her bath and the effects of heart disease and cocaine use - was the subject of a musical tribute at the show, with her 'Sparkle' co-star Jordin Sparks singing 'I Will Always Love You' and John Legend performing 'The Greatest Love Of All' following an emotional introduction from Whoopi Goldberg.
Whoopi said: "I adored Whitney Houston. What all performers want and need and should get is love, and many of us here loved Whitney, and even if you're one of those who didn't show the love to Whitney, now is your chance, because tonight, that's what we're doing: We're going to be giving Whitney the greatest love of all."
Musical tributes were also paid to Donna Summer - who died last week from cancer - with Natasha Bedingfield singing 'Last Dance' and Cee Lo Green performing '(You Gotta) Fight for Your RIght (to Party!)' in remembrance of Beastie Boys star Adam Yauch, who died on May 4.
Meanwhile, Adele picked up 12 awards, including the coveted Top Artist prize, and dance act LMFAO went home with six gongs.
Katy Perry - who was accompanied to the event by her 91-year-old grandmother - said she felt "incredibly honored" as she picked up the Spotlight Award in recognition of tying the record set by Michael Jackson of five number one hits from the same album, 'Teenage Dream'.
She added: "Most of all, of course, I always say that the people have the power, so I want to say thank you to the glittering, gorgeous community of fans out there."
Taylor Swift was named Billboard Woman of the Year, with Lil' Wayne receiving the respective male honor, though he was not present at the ceremony - which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas - to pick up the prize.
Whitney Houston’s Aide Cleaned Out Room Before Police Arrived
Whitney Houston's entertainment consultant Raffles Van Exel cleaned out Houston's room following her death and told the Dutch Telegraph newspaper, "Someone had to do it." In addition he made the comments to the Netherlands newspaper just four days following her death, where he also revealed: "The room had to be emptied." He didn't dive into the specifics of WHAT he took out of the hotel room, although there were claims that cocaine was removed from the scene and oddly enough bed sheets were also removed. Perhaps a DNA analysis would provide who she slept with that last night?

Ray J Was Whitney Houston’s Drug Runner
According to a new TV interview on Dr. Drew with Bobby Brown's sister Leolah Brown, she says that hip-hop singer Ray J was NOT Whitney Houston's man, but just a "runner" for drugs and believes Whitney got a hold of a "bad bag" of coke in the process that led to her passing. Houston's toxicology results were all over the web yesterday and you can read more about that here.
Anyway... here's more on Bobby's sis via Dlisted: Leoham said: "When I first seen this and saw the news, and I saw, I'm sorry, please excuse me, I just have to come out and say this. I saw Ray J coming out of the hotel, hiding his head, being pushed into the car... Why? I looked and I said, 'Why is he hiding? Why is he hiding his face?' He's always trying to show his face when he's around Whitney. Why now? Why are you trying to hide now, Ray J? And I put it altogether. When I first heard that she passed away I said, 'My God, somebody gave her a bad bag.' Yes, I promise you. That was the first thing that came out of my mouth."
And further according to TMZ, Ray J has denied these claims saying he didn't even know Whitney was using cocaine again.

Now here's the weirdest part.... in this week's National Enquirer the cover story is about how Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston were actually planning a second wedding! Bobby's close friend Derrick Handspike revealed: "Bobby told me, 'Whitney and me are getting married again. They were planning a small wedding, probably in Las Vegas with just the two of them and their daughter Krissi. Bobby told me, 'The world may have thought we were history, but the reality is we were never apart. We've never stopped loving each other."
So what does Bobby's entertainment executive friend Derrick have to say about Ray J???? He added: "Their relationship had turned into more of a friendship. Bobby knew Whitney was still in love with him. Even Ray J knew nothing could break Bobby and Whitney's tight bond."
Whitney Houston: Cause Of Death
According to the report by the L.A. County Coroner via TMZ, singer Whitney Houston's official cause of death was accidental drowning, although the document also noted heart disease and cocaine use. In addition to having cocaine in her system when she died, Houston also had Xanax, Flexeril, Benadryl and traces of marijuana in her system. A source closely connected to the investigation told TMZ that it is "very possible" that Whitney could have had a heart attack which in turn caused her to lose consciousness and drown. Although Whit had cocaine in her body, there was none found in her hotel room. The Houston family released this statement: “We are saddened to learn of the toxicology results, although we are glad to now have closure.”
