Britney Spears leaves the studio at 5:30 am in NYC last night. Before going back to her hotel she stopped at CVS and tried on sunglasses and a Santa hat.

Now she's off to Miami to continue her recording spree.

Britney Spears is reportedly offering pictures of her new baby Jayden James
to magazines for free - to prevent estranged husband Kevin Federline from
cashing in.

It has been claimed that there is a clause in the couple's prenuptial
agreement that entitles Kevin to all proceeds from pictures of their wedding
and their children.

Britney, 24, sold pictures of her 2004 nuptials and of first baby Sean
Preston, after he was born last year, to People magazine, but is not
offering the exclusive pictures of eight-week-old Jayden James to the
publication.

Spears was at Manhattan's Sony Music recording studio from about 9:30 to 11:00 p.m. Thursday night, then back again from 12:50 to 5:30 Friday morning. After leaving the studio, on her way back to her hotel she stopped by a local drugstore, where she checked out baby items and tried on sunglasses and a Santa hat.

The newly single singer has instead offered the pictures to glossy monthly
magazines in a bid to boost her image, the same as Tom Cruise and Katie
Holmes did with photos of baby daughter Suri recently.

An anonymous editor on a monthly women's magazine who has been offered the
pictures said: "Monthly women's magazines don't write cheques for photos and
interviews, as People reportedly has for her in the past."

Britney filed for divorce on Tuesday (11.07.06) and wants sole custody of
her two children. Kevin, 28, has responded by applying for sole custody
himself.


Her sister Jaime Lynn shopped at Wal-Mart after crying the day Britney filed for divorce.


Kevin Federline's ex-partner Shar Jackson has spoken out in his defence in
the wake of his separation from wife Britney Spears.

The aspiring rapper has been openly ridiculed over his impending divorce
from Britney and flop debut rap album, but actress Shar - who has two
children by Kevin - thinks he should be given a break.

She told US TV show 'Inside Edition': "He's such a nice guy. He's made some
mistakes but everybody else doesn't have the whole world pointing their
finger at their mistakes.

"I don't understand why people take so much joy in other people's pain."
Shar and Kevin, 28, are the parents of 4-year-old daughter Kori, and
2-year-old son Kaleb.

The former backing dancer married Britney in 2004, while Shar was pregnant
with his second child.

Shar - who previously starred in hit US teen show 'Moesha' - says Kevin
doesn't pay her child support but, "does pay for their school, and they go
to a very expensive private school".

Britney, 24, filed for divorce on Tuesday (07.11.06) and is seeking sole
custody of their sons - one-year-old Sean Preston and eight-week-old Jayden
James.

Kevin has filed counter papers seeking sole custody of the children himself.

A fed-up Britney Spears was spotted weeping in a NYC restaurant last Thursday. A girl only cries in a restaurant when she's been stood up. The pair was in the Big Apple this weekend, but stayed at different hotels.

Spears can be seen at the table, wiping away tears and talking to a man who appears to be her bodyguard. Britney then shows the man a new red dress with a tag on it, leaves the table and returns in the dress!

The singer - who has seven children with four different women - insists the
breast enlargement operation has helped boost the 27-year-old model's
confidence and he is proud of her striking assets.

He is quoted by Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "One of my
daughters was a bit flat-chested so she had implants. She's got a lovely
pair now. Nothing wrong with it, I reckon, if it does wonders for a girl's
confidence."

The 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy' singer is known to be very protective of his

In September, the 61-year-old publicly humiliated British comic Russell
Brand at the GQ Awards, after Russell claimed to have bedded Kimberly.

As he picked up a prize, Rod singled out Russell who was sitting in the
audience, saying: "You went with my daughter, did you? Russell, stand up!"
To which Russell answered sheepishly: "I took her out for one evening."

Rod then asked: "Did you behave yourself?"

And the comedian replied: "I never touched that girl."

Now that Britney Spears has filed for divorce she's ready to take her girls out.

Britney Spears has filed for divorce from husband Kevin Federline.

Their turbulent marriage allegedly came to an end after a blazing row at
Kevin’s album launch on Halloween (10.31.06).

The 24-year-old singer reportedly screamed at her rapper husband: “You’re
useless - you’re nobody.”

A source said: “She ran down the stairs crying and stormed out barefoot. Her
eyes were swollen and her eyeliner was smudged. She looked like a complete
mess. Kevin didn’t follow her.”

According to legal documents filed yesterday (11.07.06) Britney is citing
irreconcilable differences and is seeking custody of their two sons,
one-year-old Sean Preston and Jayden James who was born on September 12.

Los Angeles Superior Court spokesperson Pat Kelly said: "Yes, it's
confirmed. It was filed on Tuesday, on the grounds of irreconcilable
differences."

The papers state that Britney and Kevin will each pay their own legal fees
and the singer has waived her right to spousal support.

Britney has also requested that certain belongings including "miscellaneous
jewellery and other personal effects" be confirmed as her separate property.
It is believed that Kevin signed a prenuptial agreement before marrying the
multi-millionaire star. He met Britney when he performed as a backing dancer
on her tour. They have been married for two years.

Britney and Kevin both spent the weekend in New York, but attended separate
events.

On Monday night (11.06.06) - the date stated by Britney on the divorce
papers as the date of separation - she made a surprise appearance on David
Letterman's chat show sporting a new blonde bob and trim figure.

Britney, 24, apparently surprised Letterman with her arrival and told the
host: "I was in town and I just had to stop by. I'm such a big fan."

When Letterman thanked her, Britney joked: "No I meant Will Ferrell", who
was a guest on the show that night. She then walked off.

The 'Toxic' singer has since been spotted partying in New York and was
seemingly in high spirits, despite her impending divorce.
