Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Split

Life & Style has learned exclusively that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have agreed to call off their wedding — and, ultimately, to split.

Multiple insiders confirmed the story to Life & Style, with one longtime friend of Tom’s saying:

“Their relationship is basically over.”

Another friend adds: “They both agreed that the marriage wouldn’t work and they wanted to end it before they learned to hate each other.”

The insiders say that Tom, 43, and Katie, 27, plan to keep up the charade of a romance until after their baby’s birth this spring. In the meantime, the couple will live in his Beverly Hills home — though sleeping in separate bedrooms — through the summer.

Then, presumably, they’ll announce a separation — but Tom plans to buy Katie a home nearby so he can visit his child whenever he wishes.

“They’ll share custody,” says the friend, who claims the couple are drawing up a legal document to provide for Katie’s and the baby’s financial well-being for life. “Tom will set up Katie and the baby,” adds the pal.

Plus, a Holmes family friend in Toledo, Ohio, tells Star, that there is no "buzz" whatsoever in Toledo, Katie's hometown, about a split.

Tom Cruise has been nominated for three Raspberry Awards - which honour the worst films and performances of the year.

The Hollywood heartthrob has taken two of the five slots in the Tiresome Tabloid Targets category for his antics with fiancée Katie Holmes and his recent rant about psychiatry.

He has also been nominated for the Worst Actor gong for sci-fi movie 'War of the Worlds'.

John Wilson, founder of the 'Razzies', told the Associated Press:

"He (Cruise) had been a very private person up until this past year.

"It certainly was a bizarre turn in terms of how he handles his personal life and the access that he gave the media to himself. The endless posing on the red carpet and just smooching like they were on the couch at home."

Elsewhere Jessica Simpson has been nominated as Worst Actress for 'Dukes of Hazzard'.

She will be competing against a list of top stars, including olive-skinned beauty Jessica Alba, who was nominated for 'Fantastic Four' and 'Into the Blue'.

Leading the nominations is 'Son of the Mask' - the sequel to Jim Carrey's hit 'The Mask' - which is up for eight of the embarrassing awards.

The awards will be held on March 4.

Tom Cruise Censors South Park

Tom Cruise has stopped South Park episode 912 "Trapped in the Closet" from airing in Britain.

According to the website TheRegister.co.uk, Paramount has agreed to terminate the segment from airing after receiving complaints from the actor.

A source tells the site:

"Tom is famously very litigious and will go to great lengths to protect his reputation. Tom was said not to like the episode and Paramount just didn't dare risk showing it again. It's a shame that UK audiences will never see it because it's very funny."

In the cartoon ex-wife Nicole Kidman attempts to get Cruise out of the closet.

She says:

"Don't you think this has gone on long enough? It's time for you to come out of the closet. You're not fooling anyone"

This event has take over the whole town and even the cops and media get involved.

Reporter:

"It's been four hours now, and Tom Cruise still will not come out of the closet. Hundreds of onlookers here have gathered here in hopes that the celebrity will finally give in."

Police Officer:

"Tom Cruise, this is Park County police! Please come out of the closet. Everybody here just wants you to come out of the closet, Tom.Nobody's gonna be mad, everything's gonna be all right. Just come out of the closet."
