Uma Thurman insists she has finally put her failed marriage to Ethan Hawke
behind her.

The 'Pulp Fiction' actress filed for divorce in 2004 after rumours of Hawke's
infidelity spread like wildfire.

Uma, who has two children, Maya and Levon, from her relationship with the
actor, insists she is not bitter about the split and considers herself just
another unlucky-in-love woman.

She told Parade magazine: "I'm just another American woman who was
in an unfulfilled marriage that fell apart.

"I have so many great things happening, that to mope about the fact I was in
a bad marriage is a waste of time. I’m remaking my life better than it was
before. I'm telling myself that I’m entitled to step back into the world."

Uma, 36, also refuses to badmouth her ex-husband, because although she
resents him he is still the father of her children.

She added: “I'm so sick and tired of talking about the difficult times. I’m
dying to put it away. I cannot participate in anything critical about my
children’s father.

“I just need to keep peace. I think it’s fair to say that I haven’t said one
mean thing, and I’m not going to start now. It’s terrible for my family.

“As much as I've felt like giving up, I’ve just pushed through. I’m dying to
quit all the time, but I just put one foot in front of the other.”



Uma is about to star in a new film with Luke Wilson called ‘My Super
Ex-Girlfriend’.

She plays a jilted woman who discovers she has super powers and uses them to
get revenge.

Quentin has referred to Uma as his "muse" (Rolling Stone cover - April 29, 2004)

Meanwhile Uma Thurman was rescued by Quentin Tarantino after a storm hit their party.

The actress found herself battling the weather while attending a bash for
her new movie 'My Super Ex-Girlfriend'.

While partying on the rooftop of top New York nightspot Bed, Uma was happily
chatting to actress Emily Frances and 'Kill Bill' director Tarantino when a
terrifying storm hit.

A source told America's New York Post newspaper: "Things were flying all
over the place. Everyone ran for cover, and Quentin scooped her up in his
arms and carried her to safety, leaving Emily to fend for herself."

Hero Tarantino had little time to recover from the frightening episode - he
flew to Austin, Texas, the next day to continue filming new movie 'Grind
House'.

Earlier this week, it was revealed Uma was recently attacked by a swarm of
mosquitoes.

Her afternoon with hotelier Andre Balazs was ruined last Friday (07.07.06)
when the blood-sucking bugs attacked.

The pair were enjoying vodka martinis at New York's plush Della Femina
restaurant when a plague of mosquitoes flew at her - forcing quick-thinking
Uma to ask for some insect spray to combat the invasion.

Beyonce Knowles has revealed the secret to her sexy curves - cereal.

The singer-turned-actress says she eats the breakfast treat through the day
to stay in shape and to curb hunger pains.

She said: "My big fitness trick is cereal. I love it - granola cereal in
particular."

Beyonce discovered the benefits of cereal after being told she had to shed
20 pounds for her role in new movie 'Dreamgirls'.

The film focuses on Beyonce's character Deena Jones, the lead singer of the
Dreamettes - a '60s-style group based on Diana Ross and The Supremes.

The 'Austin Powers in Goldmember' actress recently admitted she didn't mind
losing so much weight because it was the only to way to make her character
convincing.

She said: "It was my idea. At the beginning of filming, I was my normal
weight.

"I actually gained a little bit, but then I lost 20 pounds - when I went
from young Deena to old Deena.

"I wanted it to be something more than just make-up and hair. I wanted to
see the change."

The movie - which is based on the award-winning 1981 Broadway musical - is
due to be released at the end of the year and is already being tipped for
Oscar glory.
