Madonna claims Lady Gaga snubbed the opportunity to perform with her.

The singer once again took aim at her rival during a concert as part of her MDNA world tour in Minnesota, US, on Sunday.

Madonna told her crowd: "I have the best fans in the whole world. So take that, Lady Gaga.

"You know, I invited her to sing with me on stage but she turned me down. It's okay. I've been rejected before. It's good to build character."



The comments come just a week after the singer complimented Gaga a US talk show, saying she had a "good voice".

Madonna, 54, has criticized Gaga, 26, in the past over similarities between her song, 'Express Yourself', and the chorus to Gaga's 2011 hit, 'Born This Way'.

She said: "I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song. I mean, I recogniZed the chord changes. I thought it was... interesting."

However, when asked about the similarities between the tracks, Gaga said: "What a completely ridiculous thing to even question me about. If you put the songs next to each other, side by side, the only similarities are the chord progression. "It's the same one that's been in disco music for the last 50 years. Just because I'm the first f***ing artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn't mean I'm a plagiarist, it means that I'm f***ing smart. Sorry."

Madonna has further aggravated the situation by playing a mash up of 'Express Yourself' and 'Born This Way' on the MDNA tour.

Lady Gaga’s Movie Money Is Magical

Lady Gaga has been offered $4.8 million to star in a sequel to 'Zoolander'.

The singer has been approached by actor and producer Ben Stiller to play a love interest for former model rivals Derek Zoolander (Ben) and Hansel McDonald (Owen Wilson) in a follow-up to the cult comedy film.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Gaga is top of their wish list. She has the talent and attitude - and amazing sense of humor."



Kate Moss, Kate Upton, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima are also candidates but Owen, 43, revealed as far back as December 2010 that Gaga would be the ideal choice.

He said: "Gaga has to be in it. The movie will happen soon. I just saw Ben and I think that people will be happy with some of this new stuff we have."

Ben also opened up about the new plot recently, saying: "It's 10 years later and most of it is set in Europe. I don't want to give away too much, but it's basically Derek and Hansel 10 years later."

Filming is scheduled to star early next year.

Gaga Doesn’t Care If She’s Fat or Not

Lady Gaga has "no intention" of hiding her weight gain.

GaGa recently revealed she had gained 25 pounds after over-eating at her father's New York restaurant, and while she has come under criticism, she is refusing to cover-up.

A source told The Huffington Post: "She has no intention of going on a diet or hiding under baggy clothes until she loses some weight. That just isn't her style. She tells her fans to love themselves and that is something that she doesn't just preach."



However, she also believes some of the gain has been in muscle after dancing on stage on her Born This Way world tour.

The source added: "She has said before that when she's on tour she gets muscular. If you look at pictures from the start and the end of her tours you can see that. It's not a look she says she really likes, but after working out onstage like she does, it happens naturally. There is nothing she can do about it."

The petite star previously joked she gained five pounds every time she went to her dad's eating establishment.

She said: "I love eating pasta and I'm a New York Italian girl. That's why I have been staying out of New York.

"My father opened a restaurant. It's so amazing ... it's so freaking delicious, but I'm telling you I gain five pounds every time I go there."
