Jessica Simpson Newest Desperate Housewife

Jessica Simpson is rumoured to be making a guest appearance on 'Desperate Housewives'.

The screen beauty - who recently announced her split from husband Nick Lachey - is allegedly being lined-up for one or two episodes of the hit US drama.

An insider told MSN: "There's talk of her being on an episode or two."

The sexy star has also been spotted having lunch with the show's Eva Longoria at Los Angeles eatery Cha Cha Cha.

An onlooker said Jessica told Eva: "Thanks for making me laugh. You know how much I need that right now."

Representatives for 'Desperate Housewives' have so far denied Jessica is being lined up for a guest slot.

Earlier this week it was revealed the singer is still "emotional" following the collapse of her three-year marriage to Lachey.

The 'Newlyweds' star officially filed for divorce from the pop star on Friday (16.12.05) - and insiders said she's still upset about the break-up.

A source was quoted on America's People website as saying: "She's doing OK. She is emotional, and as upsetting as this is, she knows she made the right decision."

Britney Spears Sues For 10 Million

Britney Spears is suing an American magazine for claiming she made a raunchy sex tape with husband Kevin Federline.

The pop princess has filed a $10 million suit against Us Weekly - claiming the story was an "outrageous fabrication".

The article - which was published in October, shortly after the star gave birth to her son Sean Preston - ran under the headline: "Brit & Kev: Secret Sex Tape? New parents have a new worry: racy footage from 2004."

The magazine said the couple had told their lawyers a member of their entourage had threatened to release steamy footage of them together.

Britney was reported as saying she was worried "an X-rated tape starring the two may go public".

According to the legal action, Britney filed a suit with a Los Angeles court after Us Weekly refused to retract the story, and "is instead maliciously standing by the bogus story".

Spears' lawyer, Martin Singer, reportedly told website TMZ.com - which first reported the lawsuit - "Britney has finally decided to take a stand to put a stop to people fabricating these malicious lies about her".

A spokeswoman for the magazine is quoted on Britain's BBC website as saying: "Us Weekly has a credible source, and we stand by our reporting."
