Billy Joel’s Daughter Took Pills Following A Fight

Reports suggest Billy Joel's singer/songwriter daughter was hospitalized after overdosing on a homeopathic medication following a fight with her boyfriend.

People.com claims Alexa Ray Joel called emergency services after experiencing breathing problems after taking Traumeel.

A source tells the website, Joel was "distraught over an argument with her boyfriend".

The singer has reportedly been released from hospital.

The boyfriend problems come four months after Joel, whose mother is model Christie Brinkley, confessed to having romance issues in a post on her MySpace.com page.

She wrote, "UGH!!! MEN!!!! I don't like dating!!! Wish I could be in a relationship again without having to date... I HATE going out!! I'm a homebody and a workaholic... I don't like going out and drinking to meet men!!! I always have to drag myself out the door to get up the motivation to go out, and when I do go out, I don't meet anybody!!!

"Is anybody else finding it a difficult 'dating world' out there? I'm so terrible at dating - I don't know if I'll ever get used to it! And I HATE the game-playing! Can't stand it.

"I live in the greatest city in the world and I can't seem to meet an interesting guy who also happens to be NICE. Go figure..."

The singer's famous father, who has kept in touch with his daughter by phone since her hospitalization on Saturday, has told Newsday magazine, "She is going to be fine."

A request for information about Joel had not been answered as WENN went to press, but her publicist has confirmed the hospital report, stating, "She was admitted, and doctors are assessing the situation." The singer is said to be in a stable condition.
