well if she loves making black albums so much then i guess she won’t be too upset if no white people buy her music anymore, hence the 70% drop-off. but personally i think the drop-off is more related to that fact that this new album is musically very inferior to her first one than any racially based purchasing decisions.

personally find her solo music insipid, misygynistic (“Cater to You” make me want to barf), and propogates negative stereotypes about black culture, in particular black pop culture.

Ebonics is a dialect that was created by black people so I totally got what Beyonce was saying. That said, she always speaks like she’s ignorant and I can’t stand her talking voice.

Secondly, she does make music that is black in orgin. I definitely have never heard anything remotely alternative on any of her CDs so again she’s speaking the truth. If Moby said he makes white music, I’d say, “Yeah dude, you do.”

I kind of get what she’s saying, but the real insult is that she assumes everyone would want her to change or to be not black. I think that the sentiment was different than what it sounded like, but when you are talking racial issues in this country, you has better choose your words very carefully. She didn’t.
