Christina Aguilera said Mariah Carey came over to her at some party and made degrading comments. Although her nearly nude pictures attracted much of the attention in the June issue of GQ magazine, this is pretty juicy...

Christina Aguilera on Mariah Carey:

"She was never cool to me… to the point that one time we were at a party and I think she got really drunk, and she had just really derogatory things to say to me…But it was at that time that she had that breakdown, so she might have been very medicated."

Mariah Carey's response:

"I had hoped that Christina was in a better place now than the last time I saw her when she showed up uninvited at one of my parties and displayed questionable behavior," she said in a statement to Access Hollywood. "It is sad yet predictable that she would use my name at this time to reinvent past incidents for her promotional gain. It is in my heart to forgive and I will keep her in my prayers."

Christina's final word to Access:

"At this point in my life, I do not want any bad energy with anyone. My intentions where not to upset Mariah with any statements that were published or taken out of context. I have all the respect in the world for her."

Yeah, sure. Taken Out of context….that’as what losers say when they are too cowardly to admit their own words. Such a generic response, really.  Can’t these “artists” be more original?
Both girls have strong singing voices. But Mariah wions because she has such a unique ovtive range. Its been reported that when she was in the studio with BTM back in the noneties, she actually broke glass and her voice reached such never before seen in recorded music history. The girl has talent regardless of if you like her dresses or not.

Damn, this is hard to decide. Are we talking in terms of vocal talent? Anyways, it will be interesting to see them in a sing-off. X-Tina should not be throwing jabs at someone like Mariah to get some noise about her upcoming album, she is way mature rhan that. This is like a 50 cent-Jay-Z rap battle, it’s ridiculous

I think Christina has a way better voice, she can be so sexy and has a a voice like no one else. Mariah’s music is so plain and slow…

This definitely is a hard one, but I gotta go with Mariah on this one. Christina had the whole “I’m the shit” attitide going on back then and I wouldn’t put it past her to show up uninvited and then act a little bitchy. I remember reading an interview with her where she referred to herself as an artiste and it made me want to gag. I would have been more inclined to believe her if she didn’t add that pot shot about it being around the time that she “had that breakdown”.

well i to have to say the FATTY (Mariah) is better at vocals than xtina,but thats my opinion.

Mariah says Christina is saying it for attention and that is true but Mariah gets the publicity too. They are both dumb.

This has nothing to do with this particular post, but I just wanted to say that I have apparently been spending too much time on this page.  Because if I EVER, and I mean EVER!!!, spend another night dreaming that I kidnap Paris Hilton (but get slowed down because she has to change her outfit every third block) and then Tom Cruise provides the getaway car and my daughter Lindsay Lohan is in the back seat and we have to think up new names for our life on the run, I will open my veins in the shower, I swear it.

I wouldn’t back down if someone said that about me so I think MARIAH did the right thing could have done without the “prayer” thing though that’s going overboard!I liked MARIAH since songs such as “someday” and “emotions” came out ahh memories In the end they both are extremely talented and should just do their thing: singing!!

They are one of the few artists in the industry that have 7 or 8 voice octave ranges. Many singers can’t pull that off. All this beef is unnecessary

i’m with xtina on this one. that was hilarious how she connected it to Mooriah’s crack-up and insinuated she might have been on much-needed meds. mariah isn’t really in a position to point fingers at anyone for self-promotion, she’s the biggest publicity whore around, second only to paris hilton.

Mariah all the way. Chris can blow like a whale (no pun intended), but she is no Mariah. Even Mariah has had a hard time outMariahing herself lately. Without Mariah people like Christina wouldn’t matter and we’d all be listening to that weird ass grungy music or whatever they call it. Thank God for that because who wants to be depressed listening to music when they could easily just be depressed in their personal lives?

But they should just squabble the beef and do the duet like Mariah and Whit did back in the day. That was amazing was it not?

P.S. Loved the whole, “I’ll pray for her” comment by Mariah. That’s classic, but that’s really classic Mariah. Long live the diva, even though she can’t dress for spit.
