Doogie Howser, M.D. Comes Out the Closet

Neil Patrick Harris is gay – and wants to quell recent reports that he had denied it. The actor tells PEOPLE exclusively:

"The public eye has always been kind to me, and until recently I have been able to live a pretty normal life. Now it seems there is speculation and interest in my private life and relationships.

"So, rather than ignore those who choose to publish their opinions without actually talking to me, I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love."

Harris acts straight in Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004).

I agree agent hollywood- but he’s great at playing a womanizer on his show (how I met your mother) so it now kind of ruins it for me

Im not understanding the whole “COME OUT OF YOUR CLOSET” year that we are having. Perez Hilton has something to do with this…tyring to out everyone.

Its very sad. I remember being little and thinking that he was gonna grow up gay. He played a very convincing role in humar and white castle though. Something tells me i posted this already and it got deleted. It better not be the case or i would have a case…. Its about different opinions people.

Hes a good actor though. Is that doogie show ever gonna be on dvd? I loved that show.
