Gossip Links - Jewel’s All For Booze

Jewel arrives to her hotel in NYC (06/05/06)

Jewel on her alcohol use in Blender magazine:

"I didn't start drinking until I was 30.

"I grew up singing for alcoholics, and it never really seemed like alcohol fixed anything. I was afraid that it would get me. Around 30, I kind of realized that alcohol really does solve all your problems. Whoever said drinking doesn't help lied. You live and you learn."

Kevin Federline takes a walk with his new pitbull yesterday (06/13/06).

He was made for this look. You know that dirtbag vibe.

myopinionisplatinum

I WILL ADMIT THIS:
Yes, Kevin is Britney’s biggest mistake to date!

Jewel is hot….I just wish she’d fix her teeth with all that money she has!

pache

Jewel must have been drunk when she got dressed.

As for Kevin….trash and he looks stupid as ever. I don’t get why anyone wants to dress like that.

MiaAndrea

Jewels hair line seems to be receeding

phantomgrl

Jewel… *yawn* everybody knows alcohol doesn’t solve all of your problems, weed does.

Ugh and Kevin, will the absurdity ever end?! Getting a dog when he doesn’t even look after his kids… ah, this douche is always good for a laugh.

Why is this guy always wearing wife beaters?  He’s a loser.  He’d probably be nothing more than a bottom of the pyramid weed dealer if it weren’t for his wife.

Therealnunya

Pitbulls. The dog of choice for white trash, tweakers, and general all round losers.

Therealnunya

How long till that dog seriously injures one of their babies? TARDS!!

MrThunder

Thereal nunya..don’t help give pits a worse name than they already have, it’s jackass owners that give them a bad name.. they’re excellent dogs. It’s jackasses like K-Fag that will ignore the dog or try to make it “mean” that continues to give them horrible stereotypes

Therealnunya

My beef is that the people that are attracted to that breed are generally idiots. It is hands down the most popular breed in the area I live in, and every person that owns one is a retard speed freak. That dog should not be owned by anyone that doesn’t thoroughly understand dog psychology, because once someone allows it to become the alpha in the family, it is dangerous. The problem is that usually people that get that dog do so because they are scared, it seems to me. They want the protection. But a dog isn’t protection. If it’s given protector status it’s also given alpha status.
So you are right, it’s not the dog it’s the owner. Although I tend to think pitbulls are a bit off center no matter what. I don’t trust them at all.

DeeDee Cohen

God, he is like my husband. Keeps getting stuff to look after, friends, plants, and babies if he could function well (ha!) and all his mates praise hom for being a good carere etc. and he is doing it all with MY money!!

marydoll512

Jewel must of been drunk when she said that LOL.  And O cant believe Brittany allows that dumb ass to get a Pitt Bull as a pet with SP around! That dog can be leathal under the wrong hands. Believe me we have one.and they are a lot to handle. That dope is gonna neglect it or treat it like shit.

clever girl

I adopted a half-pit that was abandoned at three months.  He is a wonderful dog and a true member of the family.  This sweetheart even makes friends with the frogs and toads that occasionally make their way into our swimming pool (yes, we live in the suburbs) and then carries them gently in his mouth one by one into the woods behind our house to “safe ground.”  Please do not generalize about these dogs.  All dogs can have a variety of issues.  It is not just pits.

That being said, I firmly believe Kevin did not get his pit for the right reasons.  And, that’s a real shame.

Therealnunya

Okay, I personally do not like Pits. I’ve known too many people that have had their kids or known other people with kids that were seriously injured by them. But like I said it’s not the dog, it’s the owner. In my neighborhood, the people that own these dogs are, well, like Kfed. I’m really afraid for those kids now because I believe him and Britney are absolute morons.

I doubt he knows anything about dog psychology and as marydoll said they are lethal in the wrong hands. He wants the dog because he wants to look like a thug. He’ll probably encourage human aggressive and/or animal aggressive behavior which is not okay in any dog. I am not trying to offend anyone with that breed of dog. Obviously you guys take good care of them. Unfortunately that is a lot of the time not the case with the people that are attracted to that breed.

greeneyes

Idiots & babies & pitbulls are not a good combination.
It’s idiot owners that give dogs a bad name, and the majority of idiots are attracted to pit bulls, for their “tough” image.  K-Dud is an idiot, and there is no way in hell that he is going to be a competent owner & handler of his dog.

jaye

i really hope we’re wrong on this one.  i would just hate to see anyone’s child mauled, especially with everyone seeing it coming.  it would be unforgivable.  almost tripping is one thing.  knowingly putting an animal with questionable temperment in the house with a baby is another.  i wouldn’t care if 9 out of 10 owners don’t have problems with pits.  that 1 in 10 chance would be too much around any of my children.

jaye

another thing - k-fag too good to use a leash?

clever girl

Agreed, Jaye.  That dog should be leashed without a doubt, even if it’s just for his own safety.

AgentHollywood

Of course in a couple of weeks we will hear that the pitbull got hold of sean and ate half of his face.

miss lola

I agree AgentHollywood, and then Britney will blame everyone else but THE PROBLEM, which is usually the case. When SPF gets mauled, Britney will cry her eyes out and place the blame on what this time?  She can’t blame it on the paparazzi, or whatever the hell. I can’t wait to hear her pathetic excuse this time. Not that I would wish that on a little baby, but with KFED and Britney as owners of a pitbull, you know there’s bound to be a dangerous mishap!

sweetmisses121

I am not particularly a fan of Jewel, but she seems like the type of person who won’t drink. But like everyone else said, she was probably srunk when she said that. As for K-Fuck, when will the madness stop? A pitbull is a very dangerous dog. I was bit by one when I was five, so he better not have that dog around Sean P because he gets bit by it, agreed with AgentH & miss lola, Brit will probably put the blame on the nanny again. I really hope it wont happen

oooh la la

There are a lot of insightful comments on the pitbull issue.  I’ve worked in the veterinary field, and it’s the professional opinion that for one reason for another, some breeds are prone to be more dangerous or flighty for genetic reasons (dalmations, too—believe it or not!) BUT—Nature vs Nurture counts for something.  Any breed of dog can be made into a loving cuddly pet and any breed of dog can be made into a danger to society—it’s up to the owner. Have you heard of owners mixing gunpowder in their pet’s food so it tears up their stomachs to create grumpiness in a “security” dog?

I’ve been bit on my butt when working at the vet clinic by a pit bull.  Just seconds after petting him and thinking he was a sweetie, he bit me without warning.  But I’ve also met a couple of nice pit bulls too.

Our street has a “junkyard” dog, half pit and half something else “mean”, whose sole purpose in life is to guard a property that reputedly warehouses drugs.  My husband and I have “worked with” this dog as we take walks by baby-talking to him and are even able to pet him thru the fence.  Just by treating him like an owner should be treating a dog, we turned this monster into a teddy bear, at least to us.

I’m off my soap box now but must agree wholeheartedly with JAYE.  both of her comments !

heavenlydivine

I know when I have a hard day @ work I think of buying some wine at times but I NEVER do I just go home to my puppy HUNTER he makes everything better!  I agree with PGIRL that makes everything better!  tongue wink

miss_caliente

I had a half pit/half border collie, who followed me into a grocery store at 8 wks old and never left my side for 10 years. He was the best dog EVER, and to this day, people still talk of how awesome he was. That said, I totally agree that pits are a dominant breed and must be taught who the pack leader is, something KFed definitely is NOT (he’s the ultimate follwer/mooch). It’s a shame this breed has garnered a bad reputation from the thugs and dirtbags who raise them with the sole purpose of fighting and menacing.

Where I live, they’re talking about making certain breeds such as pitbulls illegal (due to the dogfighting in certain parts of the city), or making owners of “dangerous” breeds purchase special insurance. Part of me agrees with this because of the irresponsible owners, but then I think about the 2 snorty little pits in my building that will “dance” if you shake your hands in the air, or my parents’ big dopey doberman who enjoys sniffing flowers and sleeping late on weekends, none of whom would hurt anyone, because they were raised appropriately. smile

Therealnunya

Maybe if they made owners of certain breeds purchase insurance it would begin to deter the tards with zero money from getting them. I mean the people I’m complaining about, they rarely even carry car insurance because they have to buy their cigs and speed, so maybe they would just not be able to afford those dogs. Just price them right out of the market.

I guess Kevin Federline still needs to prove to us that he has a penis.  That dog is going to attack one of his children one day, then they will fire it.

I AM FOSTERING A PIT BULL RIGHT NOW. NO ONE CAN EVER SAY ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT THEM UNTIL THEY OWN ONE OR FOSTER ONE. I WAS AFRAID OF TAKING ONE HOME, BUT IT HAS PROVEN ME WRONG. THEREALNUNYA, PIT BULLS ARE A POPULAR BREED. A LOT OF DOUCHEBAGS OWN THEM, YES, BUT YOU CAN’T HATE ALL OF THEM. THE MOST “J CREW” LOOKING PEOPLE COME UP TO ME ON THE STREET AND TELL ME ABOUT THEIR OWN PITS. THEY ARE A VERY MISUNDERSTOOD BREED. LIKE IN THE 80’S, WHEN DOBERMIN PINCHERS WERE THE HATED BREED…...

please adopt not shop for pets

THE ONLY DOG THAT HAS EVER BIT ME HAS BEEN A CHIHUAHUA….ANY DOG IS DANGEROUS. ANY DOG CAN BITE

please adopt not shop for pets

i am shouting because i too, was ignorant about pit bulls until i started volunteering as a dog fosterer.

i grew up in the suburbs with golden retrievers. people just need to be smart and treat their dogs with respect. unfortunately people do not.

please adopt not shop for pets

oh….....sorry to go on and on about this…......there are many breeds of pit bull as well. i have a stafford shire bull, and she is lovely with people and children. women come up and pet her, while many big guys have ran away. it never ceases to amaze me.

Therealnunya

Chihuahuas do bite, but you don’t very often hear about them mauling a childs face off, or killing someone’s child or labrador. I can and will say negative things about whatever I choose to. I dislike that breed of dog, they are too strong in my opinion. Yes any dog can be vicious but few can do the kind of damage they can.
I would rather my son get attacked a dozen times by a chihuahua than once by a pitbull.

AgentHollywood

Yea i’m not a fan of pitbulls either only because i think they aren’t that cute to me. I don’t like how the pitbull was a popular breed to fight and attack and be vicious. Like those people who say they want one to be vicious. Yea any wild animal can and will bite no matter how much training it’s had it’s nature and people just try to turn something into a pet that’s supposed to be wild, something’s bound to happen. Maybe not always but when it does people wannna put it to sleep! Why would you try to tame a animal and when it does what is nature to them, you put it to sleep. People suck!

Lol my little maltese is only 10lbs, but when we had a huge rottweiler that growled at him one day, my maltese actually jumped on her back and attacked her. I snatched him away fast as hell. He’s small, but tough and he’ll bite. Dumb ass kids next door see this little thing and wanna touch him, and i always tell them “do not touch him he will bite if he don’t like you”...let’s just say that they still try. I’m waiting for the day they get bitten. Ok let me hush now.

please adopt not shop for pets

lol nunya it seems you have made your mind up. too bad.

please adopt not shop for pets

true, dat. i am going to put up a photo of the pitbull that i am fostering instead.

That dog should be leashed without a doubt, even if it’s just for his own safety.
