Dustin Diamond, best known as geeky Screech Powers on the 1989-1993 teen comedy series "Saved by the Bell," is selling T-shirts with his photo on them to try to raise $250,000 so he doesn't lose his gray two-story house under a foreclosure order.

He said: "If the public didn't care, I as an entertainer wouldn't have been a success."

Diamond, 29, is trying to sell nearly 30,000 shirts — at $15 or $20 (autographed) each — to supplement the income he makes as a standup comic so he doesn't have to move from his Port Washington home, about 25 miles north of Milwaukee.

The T-shirt has a photo of Diamond holding a sign that says, "Save My House." The back of the shirt reads, "I paid $15.00 to save Screeech's house." The third "e" was added to get around copyright laws, he said.

I can't believe he had to get to this level. Just the other day I caught an old episode of Zack Morris dressing up as a girl for a date with Screech. It's hard to believe he doesn't get money to last several lifetimes from all those reruns.

Gambit, that’s probably what happened and that’s why Mike D. (whom I had no idea was a relation to Dunstin) was like oh hells no. I go to Clarion University and he came to our school for our Campus Fest. I’m on that commitee and I know that we payed him at ten to fifteen thousand to come and do his comedy show. He was a huge success. We had to change venues because people were swarming the floor in droves.

I just wonder what they do with all that money. But then again who am I to judge. I live in a three story house in the worst part of North Philly and only have to play 160 in property taxes each year, so I guess I really can’t complain. Plus I know what it’s like to go through money way too quick.

diamond did confirm anothe rumor on howard stern, however, that he has a 10 inch penis.  he considers it a curse because it is so painful for his partners.

Screech is not actually related to that guy from the Beastie Boys. Apparently, that was just a rumor.

according to Screech on Howard Stern, he made a great deal of money while on Saved By the Bell…. but he was under 18 and his parents had legal control over it and WASTED IT!  he was left with nothing and got a small house on a piece of property and that is all he could afford.

According to what I read, he originally got the house on a land contract.  Now that the land around him has been developed quite a bit, his property is valued at MUCH more than what he got it for in the first place, so the people he got the land from now want it back if he can’t pay them what it is worth now—$250,000.

So it has nothing to do with him buying a $250,000 house, it has to do with the current potential land value.  I live in South Florida and to buy a what would be a $75,000 house in Indiana (where I’m from originally) would cost us $450,000 because of land value here.

I can’t help but feel a little sorry for him.  Obviously his parents took advantage of him and with them as examples, no wonder he’s broke!

Sometimes it pays to live in the hood. We have nice houses here, just a lot of criminal activity. People do work a lot to keep the houses in shape but as it goes you might have to put up with a few gun shots here or there. At least in the burbs (even with all the flooding and school shootings and the moms on meth) people keep all that inside their own homes. But I’d never live there. &3,000 in property taxes is too rich for my blood.

It’s hard to feel sorry for someone who probably made more during his run on SBTB than I’ll make over my entire lifetime.  I understand he was young and probably mismanaged his money at the time, but we all fall on hard times and have to pull ourself out of it as best as we can.  Living beyond your means in a house you can’t afford doesn’t make much financial sense to me, and if it gets to the point where your job can’t support your lifestyle, then you need to do one of two things - 1) get a new job or 2) start cutting corners.

Well sometimes ppl just have a string of bad luck, but i agree even thou some ppl just go broke, he should have more money than he should know what to do with (especially with that sex tape out there lol which made him some money). And the dude shouldn’t have given up acting so lightly, look at the rest of the cast of saved by the bell, there careers didn’t go very far either, but at least you know that they tried to further their careers and make some more money. Personally I would like to see the cast in One movie that wasn’t saved by the bell together but it would be hard to make the characters beleivable because every time you see them u immediatly think back to the show
