Sirius is offering an exclusive product with Howard, something XM cannot claim anymore with O&A. Howard voiced his opinion on Brandon Davis and its being talked about everywhere. Do you think anyone would have cared if O&A had something to say about anyone? Of course not. Before Howard left free radio, O&A could not even begin to compare their listeners to his. Sirius’s subscribers have spike when Howard first aired in Jan, there were no spikes in XM subscribers when O&A came onto XM. From Christmas to mid January, Sirius radios were sold out of EVERY store. XM radios where untouched. Hmm, I wonder why so many people were suddenly subscribing to Sirius? Im sure it had nothing to do with that fact that Howard was about to go live. As for Howard being jealous of XM, they offered him a deal long before O&A and he turned it down. Go look at the numbers and see which radio has the most new subscribers in the last 6 months. XM is in PANIC mode right now. Why would they betray their subscribers by letting O&A give their show away for free, when you claim that sooo many people PAID for XM just to hear them? I think I would be a little upset if I were a paying XM customer. Howard isn’t jealous, as you say he is, he is just a smart business man who wouldn’t screw over his audience that way! That means Sirius has grown by around 3.5 million subs, while XM has grown by 5 million subs. Last time I looked that means XM has grown more even with the Hoo Hoo hype that is now non existent. Sirius paid Hoo Hoo 500 million because they hoped he’d save them and he’d make them pass XM and it isn’t going to happen. Howard has two shitty channels, he doesn’t do good radio, the hype has died down, and Sirius is scrambling. Meanwhile O&A are paying dividends for XM and CBS, they are growing everyday, to the point the will be bigger than Howard(they have been bigger than Howard in NYC at one time, and it will happen again).
