Jennifer Garner Gives Birth To Baby Girl

Us Weekly has learned exclusively that Jennifer Garner , 33, has given birth to a baby daughter.

Sources confirm to Us that Garner, whose due date was December 8, had her labor induced at an L.A. hospital. The actress is married to Ben Affleck, 33.

''They induced last night,'' a friend of the couple tells Us. ''Ben was with her the entire time.'' Last night, when asked by Us when Garner would be giving birth, Garner's Alias co-star Joel Grey said ''tonight.''

Another one of Garner's co-stars and close friends, Victor Garber, (who officiated the pair's intimate sunset wedding ceremony on the isle of Turks and Caicos on June 29), told Us last night, ''My gift will be that I will be a doting uncle.''

The pair were planning on naming the baby girl Violet. When Garner had her October 23 baby shower, guests made sure to give the soon-to-be parents many purple gifts. When contacted by Us, a rep for Garner wouldn't confirm nor deny news of the birth. A rep for Affleck could not be reached.

her stomach probably exploded and that’s how the baby was born! I’m so happy that she was finally born! I can almost guarentee she’s beautiful. but I’m kinda surprised that starbucks didn’t pay them to name her Star Bucks Affleck.

i can’t believe she was still a week from her due date when they induced. she looked so huge she appeared well overdue. guess that’s why they probably induced, her belly was just getting ridiculous. i wonder what the baby’s name is.

i’m happy for them, then seem to be a pretty grounded couple, esp. ben since he stopped involving the press in his personal life so much like he did with j-ho.
