He is set to star in the movie Shantaram based on the life of a heroine addict who has spent alomst 20 years in jail then escapes.
The movie , based on the autobiography of Gregory David Roberts, recounts the life of a drug addict (Depp) who has spent 19 years in prison for arms violations and drug convictions. He somehow manages to escape, and makes his way to Bombay.
