Annie Lennox reportedly snubbed Orlando Bloom - because she thought he was
an obsessed fan.

The singer was at a screening of Woody Allen film, 'Annie Hall', in London
when hunky Orlando asked for her autograph.

She allegedly told him: "I just want a quiet night. Please leave me alone
and get a life."

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "It was like watching a car
crash unfold. Nobody could understand why she was being so rude to Orlando
of all people.

"It was difficult to believe she didn't know who he was. He's been in almost
every blockbuster this year. But it turns out she genuinely though he was an
unusually good-looking fan. She must have been living under a rock for the
past few years."

Annie was said to be horrified when she realised her embarrassing mistake,
and rushed over to apologise.

After clearing up the misunderstanding, the star gave Orlando an autograph
and he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.

An insider revealed: "She was bright red when he smooched her."

I read about this somewhere else as well and y’know, that’s shitty. So she was embarassed because he was famous and then went over and gave him the autograph and apologized? What about if he HAD been a regular fan? She couldn’t spare two seconds to sign a piece of paper for someone who bought her albums and went to her shows and PAID for what she has now? Bullshit.

Annie Lennox surely isn’t getting that many requests for autographs anymore. She should have been more gracious orlando or not. And btw most ppl wouldn’t recognize a celeb if they were walking down the street in broad daylight. They do not look the way they do in mags and on your screen. I’ve seen many and trust me its not pretty. I also am reminded of a time when christina aguilera walked into an ice cream shop and she was all pouty and pissy that she didn’t get served first and get to cut line because no one recognized her. She looked like an average little teenaged blonde. I am frankly tirwed of celebs thinking they deserve to cut line, and get special priveleges simply because they have money and they play pretend for a living.

I agree 100%!!!  Who cares who the person was that was snubbed!  A fan is a fan.  End of story.  Suddenly it’s ok to be rude to “everyday” people and not fellow celebrities!?!

You all are absolutely correct here!  This is rediculous!!!  She wouldn’t have gone to apologize if it were any everyday fan.  What I think is so impressive out of all of this is how Orlando first of all was so excited to meet her, that he asked for her autograph (how often do you hear of celebs doing that?!).  And two, how he forgave her as well after she apologized.  What a hunk Orlando is, and a forgiving hunk at that!

Yeah, she had some hits in the 80’s, & the 90’s…& she even won an Academy Award last year.  And for what?  Lord of the Rings.  You really don’t think they ever bumped into each other during screenings or all of the award shows??  If he’s such a big fan, I think he would’ve taken the opportunity to ask a long time ago.
