'Basic Instinct 2' star Sharon Stone put her 9-month-old son in economy while she flew first class. The sexy star put her adopted offspring in club with his nanny while she flew from New York to Los Angeles in luxury last Friday (03.31.06).
A spokeswoman for the star told America's New York Post newspaper: "She tried to get them seats in first class but couldn't, and she didn't want them on a separate plane."
Stone - who is promoting box office bomb 'Basic Instinct 2' - did visit the youngster to tell the nanny to keep him in his seat, for safety's sake, even if he started crying. Meanwhile, the erotic sequel - which has been panned by critics on both sides of the Atlantic - grossed a measly $3.2 million its opening weekend in the US - only just scraping into the box office top ten. The original - which pitted Michael Douglas against Stone - earned four times that when it opened in 1992.

What a great mother. I’m about tired of this ho, too.

Is there really anything wrong with that?
Children… 9mnths old especially, do not belong in first class. It’s not like the kid was all alone.
And dont give me..“she should have sat in back with them”.
WHY?? She’s busy on a junket tour pushing her shite movie..needs rest etc. Kids that age wear you down. At least the child is coming with her..she could have just as easily left it at home
STOP IT.

What a poor excuse for a mother… even Britney wouldn’t do something so mean and un-motherly.

AS do I…but having one’s children fly cattle class while you are upfront is so not wrong.
I have a 2 yr old boy and a 5 yr old girl.. and they LIKE hanging in back with their nan. Come to visit us and eat with us.. it’s been done for decades. Now this muppett does it and it’s news?
Thats the poblem I have ..it’s NOT news. It’s a waste of print.

Great way to teach your kids where they stand so they can do that to others when they grow up….! Geez, people like Sharon Stone suck

I just think that if she had played her cards right with her career instead of being a demanding bitch, she wouldn’t have this problem and could afford a private jet.
Problem solved!

Sharon Stone can get her rest in coach like the rest of us suckers. Honestly. Good thing she has a nanny or she’d have been screwed there.

Im glad her mivie Bombed, shes sucha hypocrite talking BS about the young hollywood actresses showing their tits to get to the top! LOOK at her ass….Nobody wants to see her sack of wrinkly skin and bones on the big screen GAG!

Same to others? I don’t have my children up in 1st class with me out of considration to the other people IN 1st class who are mostly professionals trying to either work, or rest. You ever been on a flight with a screaming 9mnth old? I’m sure you have..now put yourself on Virgin 009 redeye ahead of your important meeting and zero sleep coz of a screaming child.. Don’t be so quick to judge.
Posted by
monoverb on 04/05 at 02:37 PM
I think she’s too busy trying to stay young instead of getting private jets. Catwoman, basic instinct 2…trying to be sexy. I personally don’t see anything wrong with what she did. Maybe she shoulda called john travolta for a lift.

The New York Post had this article in it yesterday saying that Sharon asked the nanny to put the baby back in the other seat instead of holding it - even if the baby cried…which it started doing immediately upon being put in his own seat. W-a-a-a-a-a
Her other son with ex-hubby (now 5 years old, also adopted)lives one year with his dad and one year with her…talk about a book coming out by that kid in about 13 years.

@monoverb
So people in first class are too good to be bothered by screaming children, but people in economy should put up with it?
Says a lot about your attitude.

I’ll shut up now.
Posted by
monoverb on 04/05 at 03:22 PM
(“monoverb”, no need to shut up, you have valid points!) Sharon Stone is a celebrity and obviously wanted to sit in first class, period. So her nanny and child had to sit in cattle, big deal! It wasn’t like she put him on the wing for cryin’ out loud! And the last time I saw Britney in the car with tater tot, HE was on her lap at the wheel!
I’m not a fan, but Sharon Stone loves her children I’m sure. So what if she has an ego the size of Montana!
We have flown first a few times(sometimes we ALL sit in coach too!) with our THREE boys in back with a sitter. They don’t care where they sit as long as they can watch the in-flight movie and play with their Nintendo DS’s! We ALL get there together anyhow. Besides, it gives my husband and I a chance to actually FINISH a conversation!
Excuse me but I really doubt her child will write a book about the time he had to sit in coach!(Waa) More like a book about his mother showing her COO-COO to the entire world!!

thanks..
I really didn’t mean to discriminate..
The whole reason I started this was because it was feeling a lot like the Paltrow Drinks Beer thread.
but I will add that.. Once i had children of my own, my feelings about crying, kicking children on aeroplanes chaged completely..from anger to compassion and understanding.
It SUCKS when yours is the one making the noise…but I found that other parents were very “it happens and i feel bad for you”

I find myself very in between on this subject. On one hand I feel like so what. It is possible that her seat was booked before the nanny and the baby’s. Maybe there was no coice in the matter and like she said she didn’t want them on another flight. On the other I hand, I have an 18 month old boy and I couldn’t imagine being away fom him on an airplaine at this age let alone 9 mos. Regardless if he was with the Nanny or not. That probably stems from my huge fright of flying. Not to mention I couldn’t imagine sitting up front listeing to my child cry the entire flight because I told the Nanny to keep him in his seat.

Yeah, MONO is cool for actually having some opinoin…..
ANYWAY….This whole story is a classic example of why people should not be given too much money….Cause people with less money…...would all sit in coach…... and wonder what it is like in 1st class….....like myself

I flew only twice (in coach) but i took a look at first class, and maybe it was the plane but from the looks of it it didn’t look worth the price. Ok it had leather seats, and a extra helping of peanuts..wow. Do i get free swag bags to go along with it?
But it was only a 2hr flight maybe it’s a difference.

“Larilee, wasn’t talking to you anyhow sweetie. Hey! shouldn’t you be in school now?”
No, susie sweetheart, I’m writing my dissertation. And how was YOUR day? You are aware that when you post in general on a blog, you are posting to everyone right?
Posted by

AgentHollywood, I flew first class a couple of times (frequent flyer upgrades are the best), On the longer flights, the extra leg room and seat pitch are really nice, especially transatlantic flights.

Larilee, writing your dissertation?! (Snicker) right. On what? Bad manners?
Posted by

Like I need to explain myself to you, susie? You’re the one with the poor manners. I just said “whatever” to your preaching about the rights and needs of Sharon Stone. I’m not the one insulting your intelligence now, am I?

Okay, my bad. I am WAYYYYY to old for this. I just read these blogs for fun before the kids hit the door with homework and afterschool sports.
Larilee, my apologies.
As for the comments I made about the whole nanny and baby in coach, that’s just the way I see it.
Good luck on your dissertation. Been there done that ( M.Ed. and boy was that a journey!)

I’m another stuck in the middle here - I’m not a fan of Sharon Stone, so part of me really wants to dump on her her just becasue I don’t like her, and also because I’m like fnnygrl, no way would I sit apart from my baby, even if he was with a nanny (which he never was, so I can’t comment about the whole nanny thing).
On the other hand, at least they were on the same plane together.
But then again - does anyone really care about Sharon Stone?

Back to Ms. Stone, is anyone else having flashes of “Mommy Dearest” when they picture her overall parenting skills? I feel like this is just the tip of the iceburg with that nutjob!

hollywoodgirl on 04/06 at 02:19 AM
Ummm people dont seem to read, nor understand…“she tried to get them seats in first class but couldn’t”...Now thats the key sentence to the entire story.
She didnt just say, “arrr cant deal with this kid, i will put the handful elsewhere so i cant see or hear the brat”
I bet everyone is thinking why she didnt let the kid on her lap…a) against the rules, B) Kid could of had a fall, hit his head, and whaaammooo….if that happened, then everyone on here would say “why didnt the bitch put her kid in economy”..arr dimwitted people
Anyways she is shaggable…abit stupid when she made her comments about girls giving blow jobs…but still shaggable.

The HeartBreaker on 04/06 at 03:59 AM
Why does this suprise anyone? If she could not get them a seat them she should have given her seat to someone that was seating next to the nanny and the baby and sat with her son. Wow, must be nice to adopt and them not really have to parent.

Ada on 04/06 at 03:22 PM
I totally agree, Ada. The whole idea of a nanny is bizarre to me. But what do I know? I actually take care of my own kid. Maybe I’m the weird one.

I was under the impression that most airlines don’t allow babies in first class anyway. Now I could be wrong, wouldnt be the first time.
And if Sharon Stone had flown in economy class with her baby no doubt the tabloids would be calling her cheap or Stingy Sharon….... blah…...
