50 Cent has canceled his European tour after being outsold by rival Kanye West.

After pledging to retire from the music industry if Kanye's album 'Graduation' outsold his own 'Curtis', 50 has seemingly taken the first step by axing all his dates.

He has canceled performances at tomorrow night's Vodafone Live Music Awards and MOBO Awards after Kanye won the UK leg of their chart battle on Sunday.

A spokesman for the rapper said: "50 Cent is very sad to confirm that due to a last-minute, unforeseen and unanticipated change in his schedule, he will have to postpone his European promotional trip scheduled to take place from September 18 to 25."

50, real name Curtis Jackson, said before both albums were released: "If Kanye West sells more records than me, I'll no longer write music. I'll work with my other artists, but I won't put out anymore solo albums."

50's MOBOs cancellation has left organizers struggling to replace him with another big name.

If a last-minute replacement isn't found, Craig David's duet with Kano is expected to take center stage at the ceremony taking place at London's O2 arena.



50 Cent needs to switch it up. Just take a look at most of the tracks on his new album:

“Candy Shop” is one of his biggest hits and it’s the most ridiculous piece of junk ever created !  A 3 note melody over a 2 chord harmony.  And the lyrics ... “I’ll let you lick the lollipop” ??  ROFL !  Brilliant music-making, like something an oversexed junior high schooler who’s never had sex would write.  If a guy ever said any of that stuff to me I’d be laughing so hard !

Btw, Scott Storch co-wrote this crap.  The guy has this big reputation but if you look at everything he’s produced it’s all worthless throwaway fad hits which will be totally laughable in 5 years.
