I just can’t believe this.  I guess it’s because I can’t understand any woman who can wait that long to have sex.  Don’t you want to?  I mean, I understand having principles and all that, but usually the girls that really are virgins until marriage get married really young just so they can do it.  Like, I do believe that Jessica Simpson waited, but you see, she got married relatively young to the first guy that would marry her.  And what about guys that date Adriana?  I’m suprised they’re not popping the question left and right.  But, if she’s as difficult as she comes across in this interview, guys may be justifiably not into committing to her.  But… then why even bother?  that’s why I can’t understand women over the age of, well 18 really, or just whenever you get out on your own, that don’t have sex.  But yet they have boyfriends.  You can get away with it when you’re 16, 17; telling your boyfriend you want to stay a virgin.  Sure, he’s going to paw all over you like crazy, and beg you, but it’s a lot easier to say no when it’s hard to even really get the privacy to have sex when you are a teenager and live with your parents.  But once you go to college or start living on your own, why are guys even going to bother with you if you won’t have sex with them?  Sure, you might have the best personality in the world and they just love being with you, but in that case, you’re both adults, GET MARRIED so you can do it already!  And if she is a bitch and her personality’s not that great, then move on!

I just don’t get it.  I knew a couple that lived together for a few years before they got married and she was still a virgin because she was Catholic.  They were like 26 when they got married.  And no, it wasn’t a case of her just saying that to keep up appearances.  The guy was really good friends with my husband and was a kiss and tell kind of guy who gave a lot of (unwanted) details about all his encounters as a teenager, but he admitted to my husband that they hadn’t had sex.  In fact, it was the only reason he finally proposed.  “So I can get my prize!”  WTF?  He did say that she would get on all fours,  and let him jerk off between her legs.  They also smoked pot constantly.  So, God is okay with the doggie style jerk and the weed, but not okay with consensual sex between two adults?  Um, okay.  That’s some great logic. 

I just think that you are some kind of weird frigid person if you can hold out that long, being an adult and living with someone you supposedly love, but won’t make love to them.

YUNAKITTY, i do not agree with your viewpoint. Define whats “natural” because you make it seem as though waiting on the right one is unnatural. Yes, I see that you have had personal encounters with people who have revealed their celibacy and the hyprocrisy behind them but that doesn’t mean a damn thing when it comes to other people who make similar choices.
     
SO one of your points is “why even bother with being in a relationship if you can’t have sex” and let me point out to you that sex is not the most important thing for everyone in a relationship; there are other factors such as honesty, friendship, commitment, etc. But I really feel sorry for you if you base “the reason for having a boyfriend” is to have sex. Theres a lot more to a relationship then that. You dont get it because you’ve never been down that path: should I be suprised if you gave ass to every man you hooked up with because “thats what you’re supposed to do”? lol, to be honest , many women see their bodies as temples and sex as sacred.

Im in college, Im in a great relationship , and guess what ? we arent engaging in sex yet our relationship is very strong and very spiritual. We both see sex as sacred and we arent waiting for marriage but we are waiting for when both of us trully feels we love each other and then express that love through sex.Its been 10 months into the relationship and we dont engage in any other immoral actions. Not all guys want to be with a girl just for ass, perhaps thats more of a reflection of your own personal experience with guys in college. Okay, I have not given “ass” to every man I have dated.  I dated one guy through the last three years of high school, and we had sex, then I dated my husband through college and of course we’ve had sex.  So that brings the grand total to 2.  I have been out on dates with probably 10 guys in my life.  You go out on a date, you can tell pretty much right away if you’re attracted to each other, and if you’ll get along.  If not, you don’t go back out with them.  I have a very strong libido for a woman, I realize this, because I hear my other married co-workers complaining about how they hate having sex with their husbands, why does he bother them so much, and they admit they probably only do it every other week or even month!  We have been married 4 years and we do it every other night if not more.  As much as people try to deny it, sex is a very big part of a relationship.  My husband and I are very close, and part of it is because we share that special time.  My coworkers wonder why their husbands don’t buy them Valentine’s day presents and forget their birthday, while mine sends flowers to work.  Maybe it’s because you are cold to him in the bed.  That’s a big rejection for a person to constantly tell them no.  Sex won’t fix all the problems, but it can smooth over bad feelings and hard times that are going to come up in everyone’s relationship.
