According to Star, Beyonce will marry boyfriend Jay-Z in November - price tag $3 million.

The former Destiny’s Child member is planning a late November wedding on the Caribbean island of Anguilla. Guests at the bash will dine on $300,000 worth of Beluga caviar as well as lobster and Italian truffles and will wash it down with $200 bottles of Dom Perignon. Knowles’ wedding dress will be modeled after Princess Diana’s, reports the Star, and among the guests invited are Oprah Winfrey and U.N. head Kofi Annan.



“Beyoncé’s telling friends it will be ‘the wedding to end all weddings,’” according to the source.

“Beyoncé feels like she’s living a fairy tale so why shouldn’t her wedding be equally magical?”

Also, people that want to have lavish weddings are people who are concerned with image.  If you really are in love - first, you may not decide to get married at all and live happily, or for the more religious at heart, marriage is your only concern, the wedding itself doesn’t play a large part.  If you are in love, you make it without all the hoopla. 

But, since Beyonce is filthy rich, she can spend a lot without a huge dent in her budget.  But, of course the money would be better spent on a trip to Africa to feed children, or something to that effect.  I guess she will help the economy, but she will most likely spend money to make some shoe designer more rich blah blah blah, etc.  Thank you.

Being that they have been together for over 6 years (since she was like 18). I think this will last. It has a shot, SHYT, she is yet to admit she is dating him and they have managed to not have bad publicity up until Rihanna who i am sure will be at the wedding. I think the Media is just making up stories, i have been reading about Beyonce n Jay marrying since 2003, some stories were they are already married WHICH i think is a possibility. Who knows, all the same, Black love is beautiful, Black people have the lowest cases of marrying so anytime someone DOES jump the broom its certainly a good thing.

Regardless of how much is spent on the wedding, discussing (bragging) about cost is sort of “cheap”, isn’t it? Real class is just having something lovely to enjoy. Sort of like Oprah did with her party for black women last year? You KNOW that cost a real bundle. But, cost was never mentioned.

Does anyone remember Aristotle Onassis? I never understood why he was attractive, but he got women who were at the time labeled as classiest and most beautiful. And I don’t think Maria Callas or Jacky Kennedy were after his money or fame.

Yes, I do remember Ari Onassis, the Greek tycoon.  I don’t know about Maria Callas, the opera singer(?), but I do know from interviews and the biography of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, that she in fact married Ari for his money.  She was scared and freaked out about the assasinations of her huband JFK and bro. in law, RFK.  She said, “They are killing Kennnedys and I need to protect my children and Ari had the means to protect me and my children.”  I also think she was at the point in her life where marrying for love wasn’t a consideration.  Heck, she was well aware of JFK’s philandering because it was par for the course with Kennedy men.  The man she thought was the love of her life betrayed her and she became a widow.  Oh, I’m sure she loved Ari in a special way, but money was her motivating factor.

And let’s face it.  Jay Z isn’t that attractive but his fame and fortune look real good.  Money is power and women are really turned on by powerful men.  I’m sure Beyonce loves him and can look past his gigantic nostrils.  Unfortunately, powerful men like Jay Z can’t stay monogomous for the long haul, it’s just not in their nature.

He really is cute and boyish looking when he smiles, which is rare…he spends way too much energy being all stereotypically hard and thug like. What about a pre-nup??? Beyonce would be wise to just HUSH and save her money… marriage isn’t easy and a 300K wedding won’t make any easier.

You never heard of a doctor or a teacher marrying a pop/rap/whatever star. They seem to be marrying only amongst each other. Maybe it’s their glammorous way of life that unites them, but surely not the long philosophical talks in the shade of the moon.
