What a fucking douchebag. Seriously. I know it’s a Halloween costume, but shit, handle it with some taste and respect. Steve’s family is still grieving. Yes, they may be grieving for a long time, but that’s not an excuse to ridicule his death. I’m positive he could’ve come up with a better costume and made fun of something far more deserving, but no, the inner-asshole got the best of him. Bill Maher officially sucks.

How about not calling this a futile war while some of us have husbands over there fighting for YOUR rights and safety.

I respect the troops and those who serve (my own sister does just so you know).  It’s the leadership and disingenuous policy I have a problem with.

I have completely missed the shock factor on this one, not because this is not horrible and disrespectful, but because I saw at least 20 dudes dressed up just like that at a huge Halloween party on saturday.

not my type of outfit but the fact is anytime a celebrity diest in the fall they become a hallowwen costume. back in the late 90s when US Open golfer Payne Stewar died in a plane crash a few week before Halloween is saw like a dozen guys dressed as him, wiht golf club wrapped out their heads and stuff. funny, but not PC but still funny.

You know what, they were talking about this on the radio this morning with a debate on whether the steve irwin costume was acceptable because tons of people was dressed as the same thing. Some people said it’s just a costume relax, but it’s not just a costume to his wife and kids and his fans. It wouldn’t be just a costume if it was your family member being mocked like that. I think the “costume” is cruel and if they were fans of steve, then why not just dress as him, not as his freak accident. And bill looks like hot shit on a lonely country road.

I wonder how much hell would be raised if two people dressed as the twin towers with planes crashing into them with little people falling down the sides from strings.

No stass, i’m not on the wrong blog thank you, but i agree that we need people who gives a shit, that’s what’s wrong with some people, they don’t care (the costume). And of course there shouldn’t be a surprise to have a post with serious opinion with such a topic. 

People need to chill the hell out and realize that the Crocodile Hunters death is not something one needs to get all crazy serious about. I realize you like the simple narrative of a man being tragically killed by wildlife. Its easy. But there are some way more serious things going on in the world right now that pale in comparison to Steve’s death. So get a sense of humour and find an issue that is actually worthy of giving a fuss about.

Well maybe it’s because it doesn’t affect you like it may affect others, and where is the sense of humor in that picture? I’m sorry i just don’t see how it is supposed to be funny. Maybe i should’ve laughed when i heard the man died, but who cares right? Point taken, people see issues in different lights so i will respect those opinions.

That is just plain tasteless, what an asshole. It would be tasteless enough for non-famous people at a small party, but for someone with a current show to go out in public, knowing he will be photographed- that is absolutely not funny. To the person who suggested that people would be seriously offended if someone dressed up as the twin towers with planes in them or whatever: my friend and myself totally toyed with the idea of dressing up as that both in 2001 and 2002. Unfortunately, we were lazy and never got around to doing it. It’s only fair to say that people deal with things very differently and my personal approach to death/tragedy/whathaveyou is to make it humorous. Make it stomachable for myself. Make it not so serious. I don’t reserve this strictly for people I don’t know, but I also treat people and incidents closer to me in the same way. In short, people need to not take everything so seriously or, at least, attempt to force their serious(ly boring nature) upon everyone else. Jeeeeez.

Everything you wasted your time to type just reeks of ignorance and stupidity. Maybe you should read up on some of the shit that PETA has done. It doesn’t shock me at all that some asshole that would ridicule the death of Steve Irwin, (who was far from being a hypocritical asshole) would be a supporter of PETA. PETA has a few skeletons in their closet. Go educate yourself, eh?
