Brad Pitt is to be reunited on screen with former lover Gwyneth Paltrow.

The couple - who were together for three years and were engaged to be married - are to star in 'Dirty Tricks' about the life of former American president Richard Nixon.

The film - which also stars Sharon Stone, Meryl Streep, Jim Broadbent, Annette Bening, and Jill Clayburgh - will cover the Watergate scandal during which Martha Mitchell, played by Streep, blew the whistle on her husband - Nixon chief of staff John Mitchell.

Gwyneth will play Maureen Dean, the wife of John Dean who, unlike Mitchell, stood by her man as the Nixon team went down in scandal.

It is not yet known what Brad's part will be.

The pair were last seen on screen together in homicide thriller 'Se7en' in which they played husband and wife.

Gwyneth is now married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin and has two children, Apple and Moses, with him. Brad is in a relationship with Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie and is joint legal guardian of her two adopted children, Maddox and Zahara, and father to her daughter Shiloh Nouvel.

Brad and Gwyneth split in 1997 but she later said in an interview with Barbara Walters that she regretted breaking up with him.

She said she wished him well and couldn't believe he went out with her when she was "such a mess."

Well, its no surprise that brad would date someone who is a mess….he’s with angelina, and that is a weird chick. I can;t believe that there gonna do another movie together. Im surprised that chris martin is cool with it.

Thought I just read somewhere that Gwennie and Chinaston were supposed to be teaming up in a movie…or maybe it was all talk.  Anyway, unless he plays John Dean, where’s the connection on set??

What’s up with all these political movies?  The bad thing is that stars who play these parts start thinking that they all of a sudden are experts in politics by virtue of the role they play and start spouting off nonsense (a la Skankalina) about geopolitical problems. 

I hope Skankalina worries herself sick over Brad and Gwen being in a movie together. I mean, hey, sometimes history has a way of repeating itself. What comes around goes around, although, I think Gwen is happy with her hubby and kids. It would still be nice to imagine Skankalina worrying about Karma slapping her in the face.

They made a nice couple but Gwenyth is better off without him now. Why they hell would you adopt kids today without being married? WHo granted that adoption??

It would be GREAT if karma slapped Angelina in the face. But Gwen looks very happy with Chris and her family…and Bradd seems to be liking Skankalina whorish ways. But who knows maybe working together might bring back some feelings and get the chemistry going once again. Ohhhh what drama that would be.

actually anafaria, Brad did cheat on Jen, considering Shiloh was born May 27, 2006…. count backwards 9 months, that means Angelina concieved her around August 27, 2005… HE and Jen were not divorced until October 2, 2005…. and that’s just when he got Angelina preggers, he was already accompanying her to Ethiopia in July 2005 to adopt baby Zahara, who knows how intimate they had become by THEN!

Personally I feel the need to criticize Angelina at every mention of her name because she is in my opinion a hypocritical pretentious hole. She criticizes Americans for being “selfish” a week or two before she herself goes to a plush resort for a weekend. She has joined the ranks of other celebrities with absolutely no sense of reality, like Oprah and/or any other hyperrich celebrity. Criticizing our latte habits while they wear thousand dollar shoes. I don’t care who she screws but I do care when she starts pointing her scarily long fingers in my face about the poverty in the world.

Well I hate to defend Angelina but her and Brad weren’t the ones on the beach with the dead body. She was referring to a picture she had seen of a couple on a beach, with a dead body that had washed up.

But I fail to understand what she thought the couple should have done with the body. Taken it home? I don’t love Angelina, I just think its annoying that every time a woman try to show some kind of personality, she gets trashed it by, the media only treats well the ones that behave like Americas sweetheart (Aniston, Reese, Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson, Paltrow)
And I can’t stand this! She didn’t call you selfish; she said that the leaderships of the rich countries can do better about this situation!

And what the hell is this about if she goes to a resort? If someone ALREADY gives one third of her money to charity and human programs, she can spend the rest in banana ice cream if she wishes, she did her part!
