Kevin Federline allegedly believes Britney Spears is too young to be a
mother.

The estranged husband of the 25-year-old singer and father to her two sons
has reportedly told friends she is unstable and unfit to care for their
children.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "He thinks she's mentally unstable and too
young to be a mom. He expects to have full custody of his children one day.

"But he loves his kids and, to that extent, he will look after Britney."

Kevin, 28, and Britney currently share custody of 21-month-old Sean Preston
and nine-month-old Jayden James, although the terms of their divorce are yet
to be finalized.

However, it was earlier reported the 'Slave 4 U' singer is hoping for a
reconciliation.



A source "close to the couple" told the National Enquirer magazine: "Britney
called Kevin and told him, 'I'm not divorcing you! I want my family back!'

"He was stunned. The call was about custody rights, and though Kevin
suspected Britney has been stalling the divorce because of second thoughts,
he was shocked when she told him she wanted him back.

"Kevin said he wasn't interested in a reconciliation and Britney got upset
and threatened to drag out the divorce until he saw things her way and went
back to her."

Britney has allegedly been telling friends filing for divorce was a mistake
and she wants to rebuild her marriage.
Kevin counter-filed for divorce in response to Britney's petition.

According to TMZ, Kevin will not sign the final property settlement agreement and is saying, before he does, he wants proof that Britney can handle joint custody
