(Britney at a gas station with her dog shortly before turning herself in)
The troubled singer - who recently lost custody of her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, to ex-husband Kevin Federline - is said to have organized the meeting with a head shaman near a reservation at the base of America's Grand Canyon.
A source said: "The head shaman has agreed to perform the ritual on Britney, which is a great honor.
"The shaman will wave sage over her head and daub her temples with a magical potion. And the learned Indians will chant mantra and perform a special dance around her."
Britney was inspired to arrange the visit by Owen Wilson, who met the healers following his suicide bid in August.
The 'Toxic' singer has seen her life spiral out of control since splitting from Kevin in November 2006.
She has been seen wildly partying, drinking heavily, flashing her genitals and allegedly taking drugs.
In February, she publicly shaved her head off and swiftly entered rehab.
However, after leaving Malibu's Promises center, she continued to behave erratically.
In July, her divorce from Kevin was finalized, with the couple sharing joint custody of Sean and Jayden.
But Kevin was granted sole custody earlier this month after a judge ruled Britney was not behaving in a suitable manner.

Beyatch needs a mood stabilizer like lithium or Lamictal ... not some shaman shit.

Why doesnt she realize that the very moment she turned away from the one and only true God, her life became the way it is? Her life will only get worse unless she humbles herself before God and gives up all this cult nonsense.

Hmm…. i disagree with the comment posted before about her returning to her “one true god”. There are other spiritual beliefs that are just as valid as Catholicism that could help Brittany on her road to recovery. However, speaking as a Native person, the ritual described does not seem legitimate nor likely. It is true that shamans do perform rituals to help people in times of emotional turmoil to find spiritual clarity, but these rituals are not often performed on non community members and not many properly trained or communally validated shamans are left within our tribes to perform such rituals. Thus, the ritual is likely spiritually devoid of meaning or existentialism. Personally, I believe that this story is either falsified, or that the individuals “treating” Brittany are just trying to make a buck of desperate rich white people. Brittany’s smartest move would to look within her own culture for meaning and insight, in order to gain perspective.
PS to the comment above about the right for true shamans to be paid. Priests, Doctors, notary’s, and counselors all receive monetary compensation. It is reasonable then for a shaman to get paid, for in many Native community’s, shamans serve all of these functions.

This is such a bogus item.
Native Americans don’t “chant mantras” - that’s India. And they are not storefront shamans offering spiritual healthcare on a cash-and-carry basis. They take their religion seriously.
And all the rest is totally bullshit as well. Britney is perfectly convinced that she can do no wrong and that all the hysteria and uproar surrounding her is the result of jealousy over her wonderfulness. She would NEVER consult ANYONE for help with ANYTHING-hell, she fired her managers, didn’t she?
