Diddy on Paris Hilton's new track "Fightin' Over Me":

Paris Hilton doesn't care if critics slate her new album.

The 'Stars Are Blind' singer - who is currently promoting her self-titled
debut album - understands people may be sceptical over her new career, but
is confident her musical talent will impress even the toughest critics.

She told the Chicago Tribune newspaper: "I can understand people prejudging
but the music speaks for itself."

Paris - who has also tried her hand at acting, fashion design and
television - insists despite being involved in lots of different projects
singing is her biggest passion.

She said: "I've been singing and playing the piano and violin since I was 6,
so it's something I've been doing my whole life."

Paris, 25, is confident her album will be a success.

She said: "I know music so I know people will love it."




Meanwhile Paris is officially the most overrated celebrity in the world.

The hotel heiress has made it into the 2007 Guinness Book of World Records - not for her business ventures, singing or acting - but because the public think she is famous for no apparent reason.

A spokesman for the world famous book revealed the 25-year-old beauty, who recently released her debit single 'Stars Are Blind', topped the poll after magazine readers voted for their least favourite and most overrated celebrity.

Other stars to make the list reportedly include Britney Spears and actor Tom Cruise.

Madonna also broke records this year for being the highest earning female singer, while former WWE wrestler The Rock has made it into the book as the highest paid actor in a debut role for 'The Scorpion King'.

The hotel heiress loves to shop and has bought so many pairs of shoes she
doesn't know what to do with them all.

She told Britain's Now magazine: "Like most girls, I'm passionate about
shoes. I have so many pairs its ridiculous. In fact, I probably have over a
thousand pairs and now my whole house is like one giant closet because I
just put them wherever they'll fit."

The 'Stars Are Blind' singer is known for her love of style and vanity and
recently declared herself to be the new Marilyn Monroe.

She said at the time: "There's nobody in the world like me. I think every
decade has an iconic blonde - like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana - and
right now, I'm that icon."

I was curious how her song has actually done so I looked at Billboard 100, and as I predicted (with a sadness in my heart) that it would, it’s done quite well.
