Sean Diddy Combs sparked chaos at a New York City nightclub after the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday as fans flocked to catch a glimpse of the rapper and his A-list pals. The hip-hop star was celebrating at nightclub 10ak with a host of celebrities, including Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and Lady Gaga, when he and his alleged girlfriend, singer Cassie, decided to leave the afterparty. A crowd of clubgoers followed the pair onto the street, prompting an undercover cop to ask Diddy to return to the venue in a bid to control the growing mob. When the rapper refused, patrol cars were forced to shut down the street to ensure the safety of the star and the throng of people, reports the New York Daily News. A source tells the publication, "It was absolute chaos. People were trying to run past police officers to get a look at who was coming out of the club. A spokesperson for Diddy has brushed off the incident, insisting, "This was just a minor misunderstanding."
Here's a TMZ video with Diddy and a cop screaming at each other outside .
It all went down Sunday night outside a VMA afterparty at 1 Oak -- the cop forcefully instructed Diddy to keep moving on the sidewalk ... to which the record mogul replied, "Lower your f**king voice when you're talking to me ... I'm a man just like you."
The cop then yelled back at Diddy, "I don't give a f**k who you are."
Diddy turned and shouted back, "I don't give a f**k who you are either mother f**ker!"
The two men continued to yell at each other until Diddy's entourage ripped him away.
According to MTV, Diddy eventually made it into the club. He later Twittered "I'm gonna say this, we should always have respect for each other! End of discussion" -- but it's unclear whether he was addressing this situation or the one between Kanye and Taylor Swift.
