Eva Longoria is hoping her new film will earn her a reputation of being a
serious actress.

Eva plays a special agent opposite Michael Douglas in upcoming thriller 'The
Sentinel', and admits she is desperate to shake off the sex kitten image she
has gained playing Gabriele Solis in hit series 'Desperate Housewives'.

She said: "I wanted to show the audience I was capable of doing something
else, before they could only see me as Gabrielle."



Despite her typecasting concerns, the 31-year-old actress is seen in several
revealing outfits in 'The Sentinel'.

However, Eva insists the sequences were essential to the movie's plot.

She explained: "There is a shot of my butt in a tight skirt as I walk in the
office. So my boss tells me to dress differently. It is all very important.

If the guy never checked out my butt you would never understand why I was
being a b***h to him in the second scene."

Appearing in Maxim will not get you in the fast track lane to “serious actress.”

“It is all very important”.  Puhleeze.  She should just realize that they are banking on her “Gabrielle Solis” fans and that they need to show her ass because no one wants to pay to see her acting skills.

I know she can play a different role cause she was one psycho bitch as Isabella in the Young and the Restless. Wish she would come back and kill a few people.

Who cares about her “career”? She is NOT gonna make it in movies EVER. Look at Sarah Jessica Parker, she was fabulous in Sex and the city but people don’t really care to see her in the movies. However, i really like Evas dress in this picture and the background is stunning.

Maybe if she would shut her trap and stop slutting it up in magazines, there would be a teeny tiny chance in hell that people would take her seriously. I didnt’ think she could get more annoying and lo and behold, she did!

As far as predictions for this one’s movie career, I’ve got one word:  LIFETIME.

Umm… this must be a pretty old story because this “upcoming thriller” came out months ago and is being released on DVD this month.
