Gisele Bundchen has publicly criticized the Roman Catholic Church for its
"outdated" view on contraception.

The Brazilian supermodel - who previously dated Leonardo DiCaprio - believes
the church should change its views because "no one is a virgin" anymore and
contraception is necessary to stop the spread of sexually transmitted
diseases.

Gisele told Brazil's Folha de S. Paulo newspaper: "Their view of contraception is out of date because it was adopted when the women were virgins, the guys were virgins.

"Today, no one is a virgin when they get married.



"To prohibit condoms is ridiculous, just think of all the diseases
transmitted without them. How is it possible to not want people to use
condoms and also not have abortions? It's impossible, I'm sorry."

Her comments come less than a month after Pope Benedict XVI criticised
government-sanctioned abortion laws and birth control during a five-day
visit to Brazil, the most highly populated Roman Catholic country in the
world.

Though most abortions are banned in Brazil, the government gave out more
over 300 million free condoms a year to combat the spread of AIDS and
unwanted pregnancies.



She would have no problem getting pregnant.

Just because she had he stuff rammed over and over don’t mean that there’s not people out there who do want to wait until marriage. And marriage has nothing to do with it anyways, what about people protecting themselves just for the sake of it? STD’s are spreading faster than wild fires and those getting infected are becoming younger and younger. The new statistics are astonishing. condoms provide a 99% proection from pregnancy and STD’s so its still the most effective form of contraception.

The engineering in the condom manufacturing is not the best it could be to put it simply.  If one can imagine a tennis racket and throwing bb’s at the tennis racket, many bb’s will pass through the racket’s holes quite easily. The fibrous nature of most mass produced condoms is a good comaprison to this analogy. The CDC doctors when coming in contact with potentially affected people of vd, stds, or AIDS are covered head to toe complete with gloves, and complete head gear. Yet, they suggest for the rest of us coming in contact with potentially infected ppl(think paris hilton), a simple, and flawed piece of latex or other material is good enough.  The cdc doctors also inform that many of the vds are contractable in the entire region beteen waist and thighs (where sweat, and other ah-hem body fluids breed and mingle) for a time.
There have been deminstrations where condoms are shown to be less effective than scotch tape in preventing certain highly contractable and on the rise spread of herpes, gonorrhea,certain forms of hepatitis, and so forth.  But I know the average jane and joe on this site dont want to hear this. Too busy being in denial thinking your having a great time. carry on.

condom manufacturers are alot like the rx manufacturers. In bed with alot of the health and med industry, etc. The more they sell the richer they get. whop cares if people die? Besides, sex is supposed to be fun, and who wants to be told the truth about everything when it means they aren’t as safe as they have been told all these years, or they will have to take personal responsibility for what happens to their bodies and lives?  Hpv, cervical cancers, herpes, are all on the rise big time. And have been for the last ten years or more.

Even though this subject is kind of sensitive to me…for only the reason that imani knows i still read all comments 80%. And condoms may not protect anything 100% it still helps in the prevention of diseases but i don’t think condoms is the problems. If men/women stop sleeping around with each other and “trusting” each other’s sexual background, maybe some things would be safer. There are so many people caught up in the moment that being safe is no longer an option. Gisele has the right to say what she thinks and so does everybody else, period.
