Jessica Simpson claims men are trying an ingenious way of hitting on her -
flirting with her mother first.

The 'Dukes of Hazzard' actress insists she hasn't been short of potential
suitors since she split from Nick Lachey in November 2005. The couple
officially divorced in the summer.

Jessica, 25, has rebuked countless but has revealed that some are now trying
out bizarre new seduction techniques to try and impress her.





She said: "Last week a guy tried to hit on my mom. He was saying how
gorgeous, young and sexy she was but he was also kind of hitting on me. This
guy knew I really loved my mum and thought he could get to me like that."

Jessica and her sister Ashlee are both very close to their mother Tina who,
along with their father Joe, has been integral to their success.

Since splitting from Nick, Jessica has been linked to US pop star John Mayer
and her 'Employee of the Month' co-star Dane Cook.

She has rebuked countless suitors since her divorce? Please - homegirl’s making shit up now to try an make herself feel better. I’m not saying she’s had zero interest (after all, no one in Hollywood seems to be able to have even a few months of single life), but I doubt it’s been that many.

Compared to the other Hollywood singles, I haven’t heard of her dating that many men. I mean, compared to Paris Hilton, J-lo, and Julia Roberts, she is a wall-flower.

I don’t think she is in such big demand by men like she thinks she is. I think men read her as “too much work” and not worth the trouble. She probably doesn’t go to first base until she is engaged. But I feel for her because it’s slim pickens for good men in Hollywood.
