Jay-Z insists his attempt to quit rapping was "the worst retirement in
history."

The hip-hop star - who announced he was giving up performing in 2002 - is
getting ready to release his first album in three years, 'Kingdom Come', and
is set to perform a string of one off concerts around the world.

He said: "It was the worst retirement, maybe, in history.

"Something, when you love it, is always tugging at you and itching at you,
and I was putting it off and putting it off."

He added: "I started fumbling around to see if it felt good."



Jay-Z - who is rumoured to be marrying 'Crazy In Love' singer Beyoncé in November - also revealed he has been working on a track with
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

He added: "We met at a charity dinner and just really kept in touch.
"Chris sent me these beautiful chords for this song called 'Beach Chair'. I
had Dr Dre put some drums on it. It's really, really incredible."

Who cares?  I’m about Jay-Z and Beyonce’d out.  He really does have a face that only a mother could love.

Rap needs Jay-Z, really does…I mean, its been really hurting. Jay, Naz, Snoop all need to come back and save it. I am not feeling all these blinged out, grillz wearing gangsta wanna be.

We all knew he wasn’t gonna retire….we’re not that lucky! Just kidding, i like alot of his music. I just hate it when these artists make a big deal about retiring to get attention then “come back”. There should be a law that says that can’t do that!!!!

Stop dogging Jay-z. I’m glad he’s back, maybe we’ll get some REAL music soon.

All I can say is: Why, Jay-Z, WHY?!?. You went out on top with “The Black Album”. You got a CEO/President job at Def Jam, you went out & bought you an NBA team, & you got a beautiful chick on your arm. Why do you have to comeback & ruin it? Remember when Michael Jordan retired from the Bulls & came back with the Wizards? He sucked big time. Jay-Z is going to suck & no one is going to be interested. Rappers should not say they are going to retire & come back 2 years later. Just say you are going on hiatus.

Personally, I wouldn’t care if all rappers retired and I never heard another “rhyme” again.
Buut, since that’s not happening, we might aswell have someone around who can do it “right”.  Welcome back Jay-Z..

he just realized he needed to make a LOT more money if he wanted to be responsible for the upkeep on Beyonce. it costs a lot of money to maintain a woman like that…the extensions alone LOL!

This is off the topic of Jay-Z, but has anyone heard what really happened to Anna Nicole’s son? I haven’t been able to find out any new info? This is just such a tragic thing. No matter what the cause it is so sad and my thoughts and prayers are with her.
