Jessica Simpson is "really happy" since splitting from John Mayer, her
friends have claimed although rumors suggest she's hungry for love.

Jessica celebrated her newly single status with a girls-only night in Los
Angeles last week - and reportedly told pals she was "happy" about her
recent break-up.



A source told Us Weekly magazine: "She was telling friends, 'We were so
different, we were fighting so much. I'm really happy to be out of that
relationship. This time, it's totally done.'"

Another source close to the 'Employee of the Month' star added, "Jessica is
definitely single".

Jessica, 26, and 29-year-old musician John dated for nine months before
splitting last month.

Their relationship had reportedly been rocky for weeks and finally ended
after they were seen "rowing badly" while on holiday in Mexico.

Earlier this week, Jessica shunned John's concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in
favor of partying with friends at Sunset Marquis and Chateau Marmont.



Jessica attended Maroon 5's Los Angeles concert on June 2, but was
reportedly ignored by front man Adam Levine who she was previously
romantically linked to.

A source said: "He kept looking at and singing to his new girlfriend. Nobody
paid attention to Jessica. It was sad."

Jessica was previously married to Nick Lachey.



According to Celebrity Babylon singer John Mayer, 29, was yelling into his phone with his head down outside by the pool on Monday morning, June 11. Says the hotel guest, "He said 'Jess' a bunch of times, so I would think he was talking to Jessica Simpson. He looked wiped out, circles under his eyes, and some pal was grabbing him coffee while he was having this fight over the phone.

She must be doing something too quick to have them running like that. Although she should just forget about John Mayer since he's not her type.

I think ONE of the main reasons why she broke it off with Nick was because at the time of their marriage she was at the top of her career and her & papa Joe thought she was to good for him. I guess Karma really did come back and give her one good kick in the ass.

for some reason I have to feel for her and she has natural beauty and natural talent. Don’t matter how much money one has, if there is personal and private pain and bad advisement, etc it can be the lonliest and most sad place at the top.  I wish her the best. I agree contessa.  I was never really a fan of her music but I feel she is a good person if you look past her relationship fiasco.  She hasn’t got over Nick and a part of me thinks he isn’t over her.  He NEVER looks happy with Vanessa Manillo.

For all her saying she’s really happy now, you can tell how sad she probably really is inside.  Mayer and her were a bad match from the git go.  He actually has a brain, and Jessica, well…..

Until she truly grows up and realizes the errors of her ways, she won’t ever find happiness with any man, in the biz or not.  She spent way too much time with Daddy and all his “managing her life advice” and now look where she is.  Alone again, naturally.

funkymiss, i don’t think she has a honker at all. i always thought it looked aquilian(sp?)aquiline? Anyway, someone please help me spell this adjective….arrrgh I like her nose. it works for her and I am glad not everyone is rushing to get the same pinched chiuahua nose job. gross. Jess is naturally pretty, has naturally huge tits, and curves and she n eedn’t be an amazon to carry it all off. Her voice is naturally strong, she doesn’t have to lip synch. i will respectfully disagree. i like her nose. and i think her face is naturally pretty. I didn’t like the nonexistent eyebrows faze or the lip injections faze. Nor the dark hair. But she has natural beautry imo. And I think Nick was probably best for her.

i agree with lolitaa, she thought she was too good for nick and she dumped him once she got really famous after newlyweds. when fame hit her on the head. but money and fame didnt buy her happiness didnt it, she doesnt look content with herself at all nowadays. personally i dont like john i think hes a real wuss, and im glad their over. but i liked nick alot he looks like a really nice guy. its to bad she didnt appreciate it tho.
