Jessica Simpson says baking cakes got her through her split with ex-husband Nick Lachey.

The singer-turned-actress - who was filming 'Employee of the Month' while going through the painful break-up - says cooking the tasty treats was the perfect way to cope with stress.

At the film's premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday (09.19.06), she revealed:

"I made cupcakes here and there.

"I love to bake so I would bring stuff to set all the time."

She added: "I couldn't be in a better place right now though.

"I'm learning a lot about guys and a lot about myself. The best relationship is when you know yourself and can give back."

After the screening, Jessica revealed that she was so worried about what people would think of the film that she almost wet herself.

She confessed: "I had butterflies. I thought I was going to throw up or pee in my pants. I didn't know which one I was going to do. I was so nervous."




Meanwhile, 'Jackass' star Bam Margera has told US shock jock Howard Stern he spent the night with Jessica - while she was still with Nick.

He revealed: "We wound up at her parents house drinking cocktails and it went from there... I left at 8 in the morning... and yes, she did look good naked. I can't deny that."

I don’t see the allure with her. She looks very plastic and fake. I think the whole Simpson clan is very strange. They are supposed to be “Christians” but they act in a completely different way. I used to really like Jessica when she first came out with her sweet kisses album.  I thought she was a good Christian role model.  But like someone said she got full of herself and became rich and totally changed.  She isn’t pretty to me anymore.

She doesn’t look great in these pictures but I also don’t believe Mr. Magera. First of all, he was on Howard Stern and his crew was saying other nasty things about the “it” girls. Second, he already admitted that it was a lie when he said he was so afraid to run into her at a VMA party because he had put that lie out there and he didn’t know who she was going to react. She ended up being cool about it so he said he breathed a sigh of relief. Don’t believe everything you hear people. Jessica is human and she’s gotten caught up in her father’s greedy web. I actually feel sorry for her. She needs to wake up and start controlling her own life before it’s too late.

I went to lunch and came home and looked at these pics of her again and I think they are worse the second time I looked. The neckline on the dress is mot good for her at all. She does look like a linebacker. Her face looks hard and manly.

I think the sleeves on this dress are what makes her look so manly (at least in these photos). It’s not a short sleeve or a cap sleeve, nor is is really sleeveless. It’s placed at the exact spot to make a woman’s arms look like a pair of ham shanks!

That is one of the ugliest smiles ever and they should have photoshopped her lips together.

oh brother, she is a pop star not a gospal singer.  i think the problem here is that ppl are expecting her to be perfect and nobody is.

yes her father seems a tad creepy, but if he wasn’t her dad and if he were just her manger would it still be creepy?  when he comments about her body he is doing it as a business manager not as a “pimp daddy”.  he had jessica and ashlee young so he is closer in age to them then most parents today which may explain why he is trying to be cool.

Yes, I think it would be creepy to have her manager talking publicly about her breast size, and it is triply creepy that it is her father who is doing it.
