I agree with everything that Mayer has said, except the part about Kanye West being a “great artist.”  Uh, hardly.

I’m guessing Mayer’s comment is supposed to mean Kanye is scared to show ‘the public’ who he really is. Which is incredibly retarded, because barely anyone famous does & it’s not like the majority of the public gives a shit. Plus, I highly doubt John Mayer has shown ‘who he really is’ to every fan he’s ever met and in every interview he’s ever done.

Whatever it means, he’s a bitch for saying it. Esp. since I’m pretty sure Mayer has got a LOT more “little woman” fans than Kanye. I mean, HELLO. “Your body is a wonderland”??? His first album sounded like it was written exclusively to have chicks who adore Top 40 radio fawn over him. It’s easy-listening for striped-shirt chasing females in their 20’s. haha.

I think John Mayer is scared to say shit about Kanye West, so he’s trying to talk shit in the sissiest way. By throwing a few words such as “great artist” and “talented”, he throws us off and makes us think that he actually respects Kanye West. It’s either that, or the man just doesn’t make any sense.

john hasnt done much… he’s released like 2 songs and i saw him once on the chapelle show and that’s about it. kanye has sold a lot of albums and he’s an amazing artist.

Kanye may be cocky, but wouldn’t it be boring if every artist responded the same way to everything?  Or if everyone were hyper-politically correct?  He’s not even the same type of cocky as, say, P. Diddy, who’s just blah. The market is over saturated with all things P. Diddy and has been for some time. Nothing the guy does surprises anyone anymore. Kanye’s arguably still got plenty up his sleeve & isn’t trying to put his name on everything. Diddy would fucking buy Time Square (well, if he were still w/J-lo, haha)  and rename it “Diddy Central”.

Sure, Kanye has been saying some crazy stuff publicly lately, but you can’t deny that when he opens his mouth, what comes out is interesting and gets a reaction…regardless if you agree w/ him or not. The guy is intelligent.

who the hell is John Mayer?

NOBODY has been able to give me an example of Kanye being even the least bit intelligent. You tell me he has sold alot of records? Actually it is his team of marketing people and other help who has made the shit sell. Not to mention alot of production and so on that goes into manufacturing the finished product you hear. You claim he is an ‘aertist’ but still all you have is the amount of cds sold. And the fact you like him or went to his concert. There has been no evidence that he is interesting, smart, intelligent or an artist at all. In fact, its been quite the contrary. And his stupid comments about the President just made it all that much more evident. Proved he is beyond ignorant. I would rather see pics of Bush naked than any more of Kanye’s ugly black ass.

Kanye’s head is a little swollen but, I think Mayer is upset because he did a song with West that was supposed to be on the “Late Registration” album. Instead he put a song with that guy from Maroon 5 and who knows what he did with the Mayer track? (And who cares?) Boo hoo! John Mayer go back into the studio and make some quality music. Don’t depend on anyone else to boost your career. Lame ass!
